INTRODUCTION
Government organization is organization which is responsible for taking actions and framing
rules and regulations under eyes of law (Meiyanti and et.al., 2017). National Health Service
(NHS) is department of Health and Social Care which helps in providing services and facilities
to patients.
The report will analyse management model applied for NHS organization which will take in
consideration proponents and characteristics of model. Along with this, macro environment for
NHS operations will be evaluated through the PESTEL Analysis.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Suitable management model for the organization
High volume public sector organization which is NHS is taken as the organization on which
all the aspects will be applied. This will help in knowing what is the scale through which all the
important aspects and factors are provided for the information to be analysed for significant
basis. National Health Service is the public organization which provides healthcare services to
the people and individuals who are in need of incurring the services at large scale (Kline and
et.al., 2019). NHS concerns in providing the facilities and services which aims at taking care of
the individuals and providing the services and products as per their requirements and needs.
The management model which is applied at NHS is the Human Relations Model in which
experiments are being performed which is in relation to the working conditions whether the
individuals take part in it positively or negatively. The theory or model under which the NHS
utilizes and applied the model is this Human Relation Model which helps in understanding the
environment of the organization and identifies in knowing the well – being of employees within
the organization. This enables in knowing that the model is helpful in analyzing and evaluating
the performance scales through which both the business environment and the employee
satisfaction is grabbed at large scale (Bendix and et.al., 2017). The social processes were
considered at work and this helped in letting know what are the major tasks and the activities
which are being taken concern of. Elton Mayo’s Human Relation Theory consists to prove the

desires of the individuals while they are being part of the team which helps in facilitating growth
and development at large scale. With the help of this management model, the very important and
basic information of how the individuals are working and what is the scale through which
everything is known at large scale in respect to the Human Relations Theory was being analyzed
and evaluated at large scale (Muldoon, 2020).
The basis through which Elton Mayo’s Theory within the Human Relations Approach is
described as having the scale through which all the aspects are revolving around the experiments
and this helps in creating and framing the steps in the experiments and how they take place at
large scale for the individuals knowing that they are the best possible source to what has been
known on significant basis (Nicotera, 2019). Elton Mayo’s experiments consist of the physical
conditions which help in the working and analyzing what type of environment was provided to
the individuals and how their morale and productivity is being influenced. Along with this, their
inter – personal relations are also affected and what measures they take in providing effectively
and efficiently the working conditions so that the employees working within the organization are
provided ample facilities and healthy work environment in which they can take concern of how
effective and efficient their performances are depicted.
As the study took the major changes which consisted of how effective and meaningful the
new role and concepts of authority, motivation and leadership were known the NHS till then
created the scale through which all the aspects are known at large scale and with the help of this
analysis, there were other experiments which were criticized and this created many problems and
doubts that whether these experiments will be helpful for the Human Relations at NHS or not.
There was also lack of scientific analysis and research (Medury, 2020). This was the
management though which had both positive arguments and the negative arguments which are
also known as the basis of information which is being provided at large scale.
The major changes which the Human Relations Theory helped in analysing the basis of the
work which the NHS is providing to the patients and its employees is known at large scale is
having known how much effective and efficient the experiments are taking the turns and what
are the changes which have been applied at NHS due to the experiments taking place which are
concerned with the environmental conditions and how that helped in identifying and evaluating
the scale through which all the aspects are concerned which created the scale of taking concern
of the environment which is taking care of the patients and providing them adequate resources

with better environment and proper healthy conditions which they are in requirement of
(Tolibovna, 2020). Mayo’s work was a turning point in the management thought which
challenged the other approaches of work and this revealed the over whelming significance of
human and social factors.
Therefore, the Human Relations Theory helped NHS in knowing that how the organization
is taking concern of their employees and through this they are enabling the process through
which all the aspects are considered as important such as the working environment in which te
employees are working, the performance scale, the growth and development of the organization
at large scale (Adebayo, 2019). The Human Relations Theory also focuses on helping and
maintaining the basis on which all the measures are identified through which all the possible
framework is valued and analyzed so that NHS is able to take care of the patients who help in
valuing the requirements and the needs of the patients in this healthcare sector on an expanded
basis. The theory contributes very meaningfully towards working conditions which can be
effectively implemented and through this the employees work is also not hampered. The major
changes which are taken place through the theory also impact positively the development and the
growth results which frame the scale of the mentioned conditions and work which is performed
by employees in NHS (Zaki, 2019).
TASK 2
Analysis of macro environment of organization’s operations
The analysis of macro environment for NHS’s operations is described with the help of
PESTEL which is explained below –
PESTEL Analysis –
Political – NHS is severely affected by the Brexit. There is deep impact of the European Union
on the functional capacity of the organization. There are lack of resources which NHS is unable
to provide to the organization and its patients. There are many medicines and medicinal
equipments which are being shipped from various parts of EU. The trade is disrupted once the
Brexit takes place and this creates political error in the form which creates problem for the
organization to analyze and identify the scale through which all the aspects are taken into
consideration at large scale (Pan and et.al., 2019). There is also lack of personnel for which there
is huge portion of NHS workforce which is originated outside UK. Through this, there is scarcity

of NHS staff and there is also lack of skilled workers due to the Brexit factor which is there in
the case and this creates the difficulty in the form through which all the aspects are taken into
accordance and this creates the problem which is being observed on the external business
environment of NHS.

staff members’ salaries which were not being paid to them, NHS faced the resignation of the
staff members and less skilful personnel was being replaced by the skilled personnel (Nurmi and
et.al., 2018). The UK government also analyzed that the austerity measures to deal in with the
