My name is Erin Conquered; besides being a mother, I was a cancer coordinator. I have
seen many bad times along with the good time in my life.
My first step towards my career was as nursing in Brisbane at the Wesley Hospital. After
completion of my graduation, I was immensely attracted to the hospitality sector. I chose to
dedicate my career in the service of the needy ones. It became possible for me as I completed my
graduation degree, specialised in cancer treatment. During the education phase of my life, I went
through the oncology and haematology wards. I was dedicated to my education and career
objective.
I was elected the first one within the professional team of nurse, where the practice of bone
marrow transplant was going on. This gave me more confidence within myself. I have a great
interest in the hospitality industry; I feel immense pleasure towards caring the society. I
understand their pain and consider their pain as mine one.
However, I perused my post-graduation degree in Cancer Nursing from one of the
qualitative institution body which is Queensland University of Technology. Upon successful
completion of my graduation, I served myself for the betterment of the society. I served the
society being a nurse serving at Wesley hospital for a time span of 5 years. Within this period of
time, I enjoyed my effort and contribution in nursing.
I was passionate about my profession, as a nurse. I want to dedicate my life towards serving
society. I try to keep myself in their position and understand their pain, this made me strong and
motivated that no matter whatever may stand in my life but I will dedicate myself for the welfare
of the society. This is one of the reasons for which I choose to be a nurse.

After serving for a long time in Wesley hospital, I felt the importance of family. Working at
hospital premises gain me a lot of practical life facts regarding what is the essence of having a
family, what it feels like being a mother, what makes up a family, and the concern of the family
towards their family member. I finally decided to have a family for me and partner with whom I
can spare my whole lifetime. I got married and now that I was having two of my child.
Now that after serving in Wesley for a long time, I was settled in life as a cancer specialist,
serving the society and the needy one as Cancer coordinator. Moreover, I also served the patients
by acting in ICON Cancer Care day hospitals around Brisbane. Being a Cancer coordinator was
my permanent job as I was fascinated to be a part of the hospitality industry and according to me,
this is one of the best platforms where I can get a professional exposure towards the patient. I
believe that Cancer is such a disease which not only hampers the normal well-being of an
individual body. Besides, it affects the whole family of the particular individual who gets
affected with Cancer.
Speaking in terms of my professional journey as a cancer coordinator, I was a fresher and not
having much of the exposure and practical field knowledge. I was just a start-up pilot with a very
little hope and expectation form myself, but I was deeply motivated because it was my passion to
serve the needy ones. I consider the patients as if it was my responsibility to take care of them;
their pain is my pain. I made a number of efforts to groom myself so that in the present future I
can serve the society as a professional body.
However, later as the day passes by more and more, I got into the profession. I gained a lot of
knowledge and understanding regarding the nature and area of the problems about the patients.

I take it as my privilege to work as a cancer coordinator. I enjoy the face of the families when
they see their concerning person and feel happy for their improvement within their life. I felt like
I was the one who is the helping hand and the reason for their family smile.
Speaking in terms of my effort, I used to work to make the patient confident enough as I believe
that they lack much of the confidence because they undergo from such a critical phase of life that
an individual fails to acquire the hope to see a brighter day in a life. I consider this issue as my
own issue, every time I used to consult with the professional that if there is anything that can be
done from my side. However, I use to communicate with the patients in order to make them feel
comfortable and feel like they are been given importance.
With a pleasant smile and cheerful face, I used to greet them and ask them if there is anything
they miss or want to share. I found that the patients used to enjoy my company; they even
showed interest in sharing their happy moments of life. I understood that they lack love.
However, this is my own perception, but this is another reason for which I was motivated.
After a certain time, I got to know that families of the patients were glad to hear upon the effort
undertaken by me towards the patients. Their families blessed me because of the smile and happy
faces that I brought in within the concerning patients. I was feeling blessed enough, and this
again gave me the strength to keep on performing what I was doing. I felt like the great Jesus
blessed me and I am walking in the correct path as directed by the great Lord Jesus. I began to
generate hope, that increase in my efforts and contributions towards the patients will bring about
a change in their recovery stage for which I began to focus more on the patients.

I was the youngest daughter in my family, and I was the mother of two children. My older sister,
her name is Carla. In terms of the age gap, we are only 20 months span of time different from
each other. We both sister were perfect in terms of understanding; we enjoy each other company
a lot. One of the main reason for my chosen career path is my family member. It is about my
elder sister, the concern that my family had towards my elder sister.
At a very early phase of my life, I have seen the importance of family and ethics within our
society. I was very much attracted towards the concern that an individual possesses towards
another individual. This is, in fact, another one reason for which I choose to be a nurse. It was
my sister who kept motivating me without her it was not possible for me to reach this peak of
career. I consider her one of my best friend and the strength of my life. Speaking in terms of
elder sister personal life, she was married about 40 years ago.
She was leading a very good life as she was having a very good partner who always kept
supporting the belief and aim of my sister. I hope that such love will also be shared by my
children’s when I grew old.
I understood that I had an immense interest in serving society. I was acquired with leadership
qualities such as having a concern towards an individual, caring for their needs, understanding
their perception, making an effort to fulfil their requirements, undertaking their objective as
mine. I believe that it is the birth-right of a person to be happy and lead a healthy life. The
children deserve a better life in the society; they are the face of the gods. I made use of
psychological knowledge to understand the society concepts and traits that exist.
However, I also undertook a number of measures with a aim to bring about innovation within the
practice of staffs, employees, workers, nurses. I kept motivating them and cheered them

irrespective of their different failure in efforts. I understood that I need to groom myself much
more for which during the free time I made use of the personal computer to acquire more in
depth knowledge of the health care practices, I began to study more with the hope of achieving
the master degree in Healthcare Leadership. As achieving this degree was more than an
education means for me. It was a means of treasure for which I have made a number of efforts
with the intention of acquiring more in-depth knowledge and that now my efforts have resulted
in me with a pool of knowledge. In order to get more in the depth of the life of the patient, I used
to conduct a session of gameplay upon the permission of the senior authorities in order to keep
them healthy. Being a nurse was a passion in my life.
