Significance of nurse sensitive indicators in relation to patient outcomes Nursing sensitive indicators (NSIs) can be measured and its indicator which reflects the structure, processes and results of nursing care. There are three major indicators such as clinical quality, patient satisfaction and nurse satisfaction etc, essential to measure reflect and impact of nursing care on the patient outcomes. There is an example to understand role of nursing sensitive indicators in patient outcomes such as a patient who suffers from autoimmune disease in that state nurses practices their nursing sensitive indicator to treat patient and leads best result in the health (MacPhee, Dahinten & Havaei, 2017) Clinical quality nursing sensitive indicators It is primary indicator where nurses initially detect disease in the patient by conducting several tests like Blood test, Urinalysis test, Autoantibody tests and Comprehensive metabolic panel. The result of overall tests is enlisted by nurse as reference to compare with upcoming resources. In addition, nurse provides different care services to patient like formulary compliance and patient compliance on time. The primary role of nurse sensitive indicators is to communicate with patient effectively to lead then in comfortable zone instead of panic. Patient satisfaction It is second nursing sensitive indicator where nurse keeps their test on doctor instruction and provides information to patient about their disease which helps the patient to keep care of their health effectively. Nurses also helps supports patient to manage pain while doing physical exercise and others. Autoimmune disease patient needs nurse care every day because they get different type pains i.e. muscular pain, heart pain, headache and autoimmune allergy which occurs due to drug interaction. Where nurse provides quality care services to patient on time that maintains wellbeing of patient and leads effective outcomes in the patient health. Nursing satisfaction It is third indicator of nurse sensitive indicators which is quite different from medical nursing staff because they offer care services to get value-based result in the patient health and believes in quality instead quality of test. While medical nursing staff has mean to give quantity

So, it is need for develop the plan (Mushta, Rush & Andersen, 2018, January). Process indicators It is another indicator which is required for the care plan because it includes number of techniques which are used by nursing stafffor patient assessment and nursing interventions. Nursing staff job satisfaction is also considered in the care plan. Outcome indicators Patient outcomes reflects nursing sensitive indicators because it is dependent on the quantity or quality of nursing care. it includes patient satisfaction, patient ulcers etc. type practice which measure outcomes of patient.
