1NURSING Unit 2 post Application Exercise Thoughts on Effective Leadership For me, leaders are people who possess the ability to lead a huge mass of individual. A brief list of eminet leaders as per my opinion is as follow: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Nelson Mandela Martin Luther King Jr Abraham Lincoln George Washington Napoleon Bonaparte Leadership can be defined as the art of motivating a specific group of individuals for acting towards a common goal. Some of the most popular leaders of all time include Oprah Winfrey, Adolph Hitler, Wanyne Gretzky, Florence Nightingale, Karima A. Velji and others. When it comes to Oprah Winfrey h is a transformational leader and he rules by inspiring others, she possesses the charisma as well as the confidence of influencing other individuals. She was very passionate about what she is doing and she believes in working hard while having fun (Lin et al., 2015).
2NURSING When it comes to the leadership style of Hitler, it has been found that he used to fallow the autocratic leadership style (Adriaenssens, Hamelink & Van Bogaert, 2017).The image ofHitleras a meddler in military operations is powerful and persistent. He was also stubborn, distrusted his generals and relied too much on his own instinct. The term autocratic leadership can be defined as a leadership style where an individual possesses total decision making power as well as absolute control over his or her subordinate.Wanyne Gretzky on the other hand followed charismatic leadership. He never fights with his employees and always kept himself away from the problem.Florence Nightingaleherself was a true visionary, whose chief traits as aleaderwas her courage, focus, advocacy, and intentional pursuits, in advancing the practice of nursing. LikeOprah Winfrey, Karima A. Velji is an evident leader and follows transformational leadership. He is a healthcare executive with over 25 years of progressive leadership experience. She is highly efficient in managing conflict situations while keeping the employees encouraged and motivated. After reviewing the able website, it can be clearly understand that all the leaders irrespective of their role in this society are highly determined and focused. I , offcource consider themselves as leaders. Reference Adriaenssens, J., Hamelink, A., & Van Bogaert, P. (2017).
