Implementation and Evaluation
Social justice framework involves certain principles and these includes-
Access- This involves greater equality in which everyone can access goods and services
Equity- This includes overcoming unfairness that is caused because of unequal access to
power and economic resources
Rights- This involves equality in effective rights in legal, industrial and political contexts
Participation- This involves expansion of opportunities for real participation in decision
related to governance of life (Brooks, Normore and Wilkinson, (2017).
Considering this it is very important that nurses ensure Nur receives adequate and
healthcare like all other patients in hospital. Nur should be treated fairly and in context of
nursing practice for preparing Nur for discharge from hospital. Nurses should also ensure that all
legal rights of Nur are considered during preparing her for discharge and in case she is not aware
of her legal rights, they should not be violated. In addition to all above consideration, Nur should
be allowed to participate in decisions regarding her discharge and also about further treatment
and healthcare services to be given to her. Nur should be advised about how she can access
healthcare by nurses while discharging her.
Social Determinants of Health includes socioeconomic position, early life, social
exclusion, unemployment, social support, addiction, food and transportation. Other than this,
commonly accepted social determinants of health include living environment and housing, health
services and disability of the individuals (Palmer and et.al., (2019). To address these
determinants of health and the way they impede access to and participation in healthcare
professional codes and standards includes-
Practicing legally- This involves that all practices of nurses should be legal.
Practicing safely, effectively and collaboratively- In this nurses are required to provide safe,
person-centred and evidenced based practice and nurses are required to promote shared decision-
making in collaboration.
