AI Summary
This document discusses the effectiveness of synergistic professional nursing in improving the quality of life for patients with tubercular meningitis. The study conducted at Hebei Chest Hospital involved 120 adult patients and compared the outcomes of those receiving synergistic nursing care to those receiving normal nursing care. The results showed a significantly higher overall effective rate in the group receiving synergistic nursing care. The document also discusses the methodological rigor of the study and its implications for nursing practice.

However, presently, the conventional method of nursing has failed to address the clinical
requirements of the patients who had been diagnosed with tubular meningitis. However, 1992, a
synergistic mode of professional nursing has evolved.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the synergistic mode of nursing in
the acceleration of the early rehabilitation and improve the quality of life of the patient. This is a
quantitative study that 120 adult patients suffering from tubercular meningitis admitted in the
hospital of Hebei Chest hospital has been considered and chosen randomly for the study
(Jiangyan et al.,2017). They had been assigned randomly in to observation and control groups.
The clinical data were then matched and were analysed retrospectively. In the intervention
group, the patient received the normal nursing care and their counterparts were given a
synergistic mode of professional nursing care. A follow up for one year was conducted and
clinical efficiency and the quality of life was observed and compared statistically between the
groups. After the statistical analysis it was found that the overall effective rate in the control
groups was found to be 66.7 % which is significantly less when compared to the group that
received synergistic mode of professional treatment study (Jiangyan et al., 2017). The scoring of
the multiple parameters related to the quality of life, when it is compared to the control group.
As per the findings it can be stated that synergistic mode of nursing service integrates
health education, diet guidance, psychological consultations, guidance of diet and the other
nursing follow up.

theoretical frameworks. Furthermore the outcome of the quantitative study is easy to measure the
results can be clearly shown by the help of the objective data. It is again easier to make

the ability to expand the data in to predictions in an important advantages. Again one of the
important disadvantages of the quantitative data is that it cannot be used to explain the social

A random sampling had been taking place while recruiting the participants.
Randomisation in research helps in the prevention of the bias (Walliman, 2017). Blinded trials
are more important to minimise the risk of bias.
The potential risk of this research is the small sample size. Small sample size tends to
decrease validity and the reliability of the research (Creswell & Creswell, 2017). It affects the
reliability of the survey due to the fact that it might lead to higher variability leading to bias. One
of the common type of bias that can occur is the non-response bias. Another bias that might
occur is voluntary response bias, where the result of the survey can be skewed for reflecting the
opinion. Now one questions that arises in the context is that is this specialist synergistic training,
feasible option in all the clinical settings. In such the cases the nurses should be have specialist
training before engaging with the patient. The evidence is rigorous as the findings of the paper
has been supported several other research articles (Billups, 2014). Methodological rigor can be
referred to as the thoroughness and the accuracy with which the research had is being conducted
(Bryman, 2017). It involves elements like empirical validity, statistical significance and the
generalizability of the results. The findings of the paper is support by several valuable research
findings. The results in the quantitative study can only be considered to be useful and trustworthy

(Punch, 2013). There are many key issues that should be considered and me as a part of the
experimental analysis and design. The conclusion validity has clearly observed the relationship
between the variable and observed outcomes (Treiman, 2014). The internal validity considers
whether the relationships are casual in nature or not SPSS.
No adverse events have been reported in the study.
One of the important aspect of quantitative research is the chosen inclusion and the
exclusion criteria. Those patients who had complied with the clinical diagnostic criteria of the
tubercular meningitis, having tubercle bacilli in the cerebrospinal fluid were included in the
study. Those patients who had other comorbidities like virus meningitis, cerebral hernia, purulent
meningitis, those with the complex vital organ dysfunction, consciousness disorder, nervous
system disease and hypertension were excluded from the study. Pregnant women were also
excluded from the study (Zohrabi, 2013). On the basis of the inclusion and the exclusion criteria,
judgement can be made regarding their impact on the external validity of the results. It requires
in-depth knowledge of the area of research (Patino & Ferreira, 2018). The paper has provided a
detailed account of the nursing intervention provided, the synergistic nursing care. The
synergistic nursing care intervention involved patients education, especially information
regarding tubercular meningitis. The patients were encouraged to raise questions and confusions
that could be resolved by the nurses and the physicians (Zohrabi, 2013). After being conscious
the psychological health of the patients was assessed. It is necessary that the nurses should hold
regular meetings with the patient and the family members. After the discharge a proper follow up
would be required to support the psychological needs of the patients. The paper had also clearly
mentioned about the various evaluation parameters. One is the assessment criteria of the clinical

The strength of this paper is that it had addressed the knowledge gap related to nursing
intervention in this field. The paper has helped to understand how the synergy model of patients
care is important in the care and the decision making of the critically ill patients. Through the
adaptation of the model the exact needs of the patient can be understood (Swickard, Swickard,
Reimer, Lindell & Winkelman, 2014). Advanced practice nurses are involved in the care of the
meningitis patients with the prescriptive authority and judgement. Thus this paper gives an idea
of the synergistic model of health care in the care of the patients.
Ethical consideration is an important factor in quantitative studies involving human
subjects. The main ethical issue involved in a quantitative research is the obtaining of consent.
Informed consent seeks to incorporate rights of the patients by self-determination (Gajjar, 2013).

obtained from all the patients.
The main nursing implication for this research is that application of this novel mode of
nursing helps in the prevention of the risk assessment and deliver quality services that can
seriously reduce the heath conditions. It can be recommended that the nurses might use the
synergistic model to include multiple perspectives on health and more.
