This article discusses the recruitment and sampling methods used in a nursing assignment. The authors recruited participants from aged care facilities and implemented random sampling. The study design was experimental, and the sample size was considered sufficient. However, the population recruited in the study may not be generalizable to other populations. The data collection process included baseline data collection and the use of the STAR Skin Tear Classification. Ethical considerations were taken into account, and data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics. The conclusions of the study can be applied to older residents and those using moisturizing lotion with neutral pH. The use of STAR Skin Tear Classification ensures the reliability of the results.
