My strengths and weaknesses while communicating with the employees:
When it comes to my communication skill as a leader, my approach to communication can be
considered as my greatest strength. As a leader, I always maintain a polite behavior with the
employees even in adverse situations. Another major aspect that I believe I possess a leader is
self-awareness. According to researchers, all good communication initiates from a place of self-
awareness. I am highly aware of my weaknesses a well as a leader. I believe that one of my
major weaknesses includes lack of capability to listen attentively. It is highly crucial for a leader
to be a good listener. Considering the fact that I lack other ability to listen in an attentive ay,
often my employees feel not being valued or inappropriately treated. I am currently working on
developing my skill of being a good listener though inspirational by videos on the internet and by
reading books.
Role of my communication as a health care provider
I feel I have behaved properly in assessing my actions since my actions gave my patents
both the help they required and some business supplied them. There are a number of efficient
ways to maximize interaction with individuals, for instance by attempting to obtain the attention
of the individual before talking–this makes one more visible and helps avoid the individual from
feeling intimidated or under any kind of pressure; it can also make them feel more comfortable
using delicate contact (Tschannen et al., 2015). Communication is an essential component of the
role of the nurse. Communication within healthcare can be defined as a vibrant and constantly
altering the transitional process. I reflected on circumstances that occurred during my clinical

work experience in this task. I was able to create a connection between nurse and patient
effectively. There are several efficient ways to maximize interaction with individuals, for
instance by attempting to obtain the attention of the individual before talking–this makes one
more visible and helps avoid the individual from feeling intimidated or under any kind of
pressure; it can also make them feel more comfortable using a delicate contact. Facial
expressions are the most expressive means of non-verbal communication, but they are also
restricted to certain obstacles to culture and age (Barton, Bruce & Schreiber, 2018). On the other
side, avoiding the obstacles that arise in patient communication and being able to identify
language obstacles is essential. This can be achieved by questioning patients about their health
and asking them if their daily operations require assistance. I also used facial expressions to
assist encourage my patents to be treated with chemotherapy that may not cure patients issue but
may offer them some relief and make him feel healthier. Active learning can also assist define
communication obstacles when interacting with patients. Active learning means listening without
making decisions; I always attempt to listen to the views or complaints of patients as this allows
me to see the viewpoint of patients. I set out to overcome these obstacles by asking open-ended
questions and interrupting the search for extra facts when needed.
