2NURSING ASSIGNMENT1.Nursing intervention by PICO format:Based on the analysis of Julie’s story, the nursing intervention, which was not in theinterest of patient, included poor communication in nursing practice. Problem (P)- The problem found in Julie was delay in treatment. She suffered a road trafficaccident due to which she suffered injuries to her jaws, face and legs. She was diagnosed withacute cellulits and sepsis, however the delay in treatment resulted in poor physical andpsychological recovery and two emergency admissions to hospital. Intervention (I): The nursing intervention that was not in accordance with patient centered careincluded poor communication.Comparison (C): Good communication is intervention on the basis of which nursingintervention will be compared.Outcome (O): Poor physical and psychological outcomeThe main research based on the PICO format is- ‘ How poor communication of nurse (I) lead todelay in treatment (P) and poor physical and psychological outcome (O)?2.Annotated bibliography:The review of Julie’s case revealed that the nursing intervention of communicationprocess was not in the best interest of patient. The annotated bibliography presents the impact ofpoor communication of nurse on patient safety and recovery through use of authoritative sourceof evidence.
