Nursing is a

They have wider scope of approaches and practices to medical care in healthcare providers. The report will aim to analyse a short essay which comprises of episode of care, identification of two problems, a care plan and the nursing care which focuses on nursing interventions. MAIN BODY Episode of care Episode of care refers to the continuous period of nursing care which is provided to a patient on site for 24 hours. It is considered a part of Hospital provider Care home stay which is provided under the direct care of a nurse (Sambare and Bozic, 2021). The patient can be a day care patient, day case patient, outpatient or an inpatient. Every episode is care is initiated by admission from referral and it ends by the discharge process. It is also referred as the managed care service which is provided for a particular illness in a particular set time. Nursing care interventions: For Alzheimer disease: As Mrs Jones have been confused and find it difficult to recognise people sometimes. She needs helps for doing basic things such as dressing and grooming. These symptoms are the identified symptoms of impaired memory related to Alzheimer’s disease. It is mostly common in old people. The disease is evident through the symptoms such as memory loss, inability to reason, inability to follow simple commands, inappropriate behave when in people, paranoia, wandering and alternation sin sleeping pattern(Lane, Hardy and Schott, 2018). Most of the symptoms are visible in Mrs Jones as well as in her daughter Anna. Anna have been seen muttering things to herself. She behave in a strange way and her sleeping patterns have been disturbed. For this disease the nursing intervention can involve the use of orientation techniques such as use of calendars, memo and radio etc. to make the patient self-aware as well as aware of the surrounding environment. The other intervention can be to make the patient and assist
them in creating a medication box. It will help the patients in reminding them to take their medicines at the scheduled time(Mathys and et.al., 2019). The patients can be encouraged for using complementary theories such as massage as they can be very beneficial for stress release. Stress can enhance memory loss so it needs to be eliminated. For depression: Mrs Jones always had the history of depression. After she had lost her husband, it is possible that she has developed depression again. She cry’s sometimes all by sitting herself and finds it difficult to speak. Her sleeping pattern has also been disturbed. It has also been seen that Mrs Jones behaviours sometimes is very disturbing and annoying(Becqué and et.al., 2019). These symptoms showcase the signs of depression. The nursing interventions will involve the encouragement in patients to express their feelings through which they are able to come to different solutions for treatment. Another interventions is activate the self- helplinkswhichwilleliminatethefeelingsofisolationorworthlessness.Another intervention is to implement the no-suicide protocol. It will reinforce the actions which patient can take when they feel suicidal.
