Introduction
Stress within the workplace together with the work pressure and overload has been
globally considered as one of the major risk factors for the health and the safety of the workers.
Currently I am studying Nursing degree. I aim to finish my degree course by the year 2020.
Being a health care worker, I face numerous ranges of both physical and mental challenges. Most
of them triggers the psychosocial stressors that affect my person life and the actions of mine
towards my care duties at times. One of the most common issue that I face as a health care giver
or a nurse by profession is the overload f works and the burnout which is a cumulative negative
reaction towards the occupational stressors causing cynicism, exhaustion and exhaustion at the
workplace. The context of human dignity and common good has not been explained in the issues
related to overwork and overload of the nurses. The dignity and the context of common good in
nursing as the intrinsic worker and the human right has received very scanty and explicit
attention (Maruyama, 2017). This has been due to the self-sacrifice, privileging of the dignity of
patient over the nurses in the environments.
Human Dignity
The context of the human dignity lies over the recognition that the human beings tends to
posses an intrinsic value towards their humanity which are worthy of respect due to the existence
of human beings (Hall et al., 2016). The concept of the human dignity furthermore features
within the legal, ethical and the political discourses as the foundational commitment towards the
human status and human values. Human dignity is the fundamental right of each and every
human being. In the issue of discussion, the overworked and work pressure of the nurses and the
health care practioner is the topic which is often being ignored and research on. The topic has not
