Developing awareness of mental and physical needs of patient by making use of various nursing
model.
Introduction
In the present case study, it has been analysed that Moira is being suffering from mental
health issues. She consumes alcohol on regular basis and is also suffering from problem of poor
diet and self-care. She has bipolar disorder (Maurício and et.al., 2017).

Problem statement: Not being able to take self-care
For enhancing health outcome of Moira nurses can make use of Roper Logan Tierney
model. In this there are activities which can be performed by patient and nurses so that safe
environment can be maintained. In this patient needs to be involved in doing self-care by
eliminating drinking and eating healthy. It can also be useful in improving condition of patients.

Problem statement: Alcohol use
In this nurses can make use of Tidal model. This model can be useful in lowering down
mental stress of patients and also can be useful in enhancing their health outcome and well-
being. It emphasises helping people reclaim the personal story of mental distress. It means
recovering through expressing their own voice. It can be useful in continuous process of change
enhancement. It will be useful in revitalising own personal lives experiences. This model is
really useful in lowering down stress (Chism, 2017).

Problem statement: suffering from mental and physical problems
Better evidence based interventions needs to be used by nurses in order to enhance health
outcome of patient. Better nursing practices must be utilised. They should also be engaged in
assessing risk which can be faced by patient while providing them with care. Physical and mental
health needs of an individual should be better analysed (Galuska and et.al., 2018).
Conclusion
From the above study it has been summarised that various framework has been used in order
to meet out physical and mental needs of patients. It has also been analysed that better nursing

practices has been used so that health outcome and well-being of patient is being improved.
Mental stress has also been lower down.
