Learning Outcome 1.1 & Learning Outcome 1.2Critical reflection over incident that influenced decision to be a nurse.Last week situation has presented an idea under me to study nursing. My position undermaternity theatre was as a professional and there I experienced with a situation where a lady wasadmitted under to give birth to a baby. She was facing with lot of pain and complications becauseshe already possesses with medical or health issues. According to my observation, immediatelygynaecologist rushed towards patient and checked her nerves as well as blood pressure.Ultimately she said that life of both mother and baby is in danger. They underwent ceasiriansection immediately (Alligood, 2014). At the same time every specialists medical professionalsand team of nurses gathered together. They initiated a team work and with lot of efficiency theysafely delivered a baby and also assured the life of mother within 7 minutes. Perhaps in my perception such team building activity has made me so glad and thisinfluenced my decision to divert towards nursing field. The conversations among nurses anddoctors were so effective and efficient that it has conveyed corrective actions and ideas toresolve every issues and has allotted patients with possible care and security. I realised tha teambuilding activities or skills would initiate the quality work and will provide best services toaffected patients by ensuring their safety. Secondly I thought that this would enhance morale ofthemselves and their families. We could conclude that it is the best way to eradicate obstaclesand hurdles for long run and aids in providing the best possible treatment (Turning a criticalincident into topic. 2017).Learning Outcome 1.3Critical reflection regarding usage of GTS skills in future career as a nurse.Above study has made me analyse that adoption of GTS skills are very much effective inenhancing personal development, communication, decision making, learning etc. This willencourage me in gathering information which can reduce stress level and can attain skilfulnursing intervention (Hockenberry and Wilson, 2014). Maternity operations creates severalcomplex issues and risk factors that need to be effectively cope up with. However, by acquiringteam working skills, effective communication and learning skills can enhance an individualabilities and knowledge towards their working environment. 1
