Question 1 Nursesareresponsibleforimprovingthehealthofpatientsbyusingevidence-based recommendation. Nurses are also responsible for encouraging people for receiving preventative services like consoling, precautionary medication and screening. As a nurse, I will recommend my patients and community members for doing regular exercise. Regular exercise can help in combating heart condition, high blood pressure and other diseases like diabetes, stroke, and arthritis. Exercise can also help in managing weight. Maintaining and controlling weight by doing regular exercise and following healthy eating habits can prevent multiple diseases like obesity, osteoarthritis and cardiovascular. I would also recommend my patients and community members to avoid smoking and drugs as it can increase the risk of lung cancer, emphysema and many different types of cancer (Gibbons & Shafer, 2016). Question 2 As a nurse, we have a responsibility to educate patients regarding different type of diseases and how to prevent these. There are multiple available options but patients might aware of these so it is our responsibility to guide them. As a nurse, we cannot do promotions for all kind of diseases but we can help our patients by providing the resources or education that might help them in making their own decision about their health. Sometimes we have to agree with the wishes of patients or their family members for their treatment and health but at the same time, we should also help them in making decisions regarding their health and preventing diseases(Macleod- Clark & Wilson-Barnet, 2015). Most of the nurses have chosen to nurse because they enjoy helping and taking care of people and they should always be there whenever they need us.
