The study was conducted in order to determine the
effectiveness of physical activity as well as exercise
on reducing the overall pain of the patients who are
dealing with chronic pain in their back (Perry and et.
al., 2017).

There are different practices that can be adopted in
order to relief the pain (Repo and et. al., 2017). For
example, there are various programmes that are
conducted in order to raise awareness among people
so that they can join those programs and improve
their overall health as well as allow them to live
effectively.
The clinical review question for this project is to
determine if exercise as well as physical
activities like aerobic exercise, muscular
strength as well as various stabilization
exercises can prove to be an effective strategy
in order to manage chronic back pain (Dang
and Dearholt, 2017).

Happy, 2020)
Chronic Back Pain can be referred to as the
pain that exists even after a surgery or an
injury (Al‐Hamdan, Manojlovich and Tanima,
2017).

Lasting Relief to Chronic Back Pain Patients,

Some patients might have acute pain in the
back which can gradually become chronic
(Billings, Faan and Halstead, 2019).
There can be various reasons behind this
and it is important to determine the same so
that they can be treated in an effective
manner (Butcher and et. al., 2018).
The treatment is primarily focussed on
reducing the pain and improving the overall
functionality (Daly and Jackson, 2020).
The search strategy of the project includes
determining an appropriate intervention
programme as well as study of appropriate
intervention program in order to treat chronic
back pain in patients (Delgado and et. al. 2017).
There are different studies that have been
conducted in order to understand the
effectiveness of aerobic and stabilization
exercises as well as muscular strength for
treating chronic pain in the lower back of the
person (Fukada, 2018).

A total of 14 studies have been referred to and
reviewed in the final report (Giger and Haddad,
2020). Aerobic exercises can help in relieving
the pain in back as they decrease stiffness and
therefore, improve the flow of blood the different
spinal structures.
Not only this, they also increase the amount of
nutrients that reach to the spine (Griffiths and et.
al., 2018). Endomorphins in the body also act in
the same way in order to help reduce the level of
pain in patients dealing with CBP or chronic back
pain.

Clinical Review Question
The synthesis of current evidence is based on the
evidence that was identified during the search on
PubMed (Hockenberry and Wilson, 2018).
The project is based on the study that was
conducted in Australia and involved participants
who had been suffering from chronic back pain
(Johnstone, 2019).
(Source: Health & Beauty Tips, 2020)
The participants in the study had been suffering
from NSCBP, i.e., non-specific chronic back pain.
The total number of patients is 2507 and out of
the six studies that have been referred to, 2
studies showed that there is a less evidence on
the impact of physical activity or exercise on
chronic back pain (O'brien, 2017).
Also, one of the studies showed that the effect of
exercising 6 months was not found to be beneficial
for non-specific chronic pain in the lower back
(Orgambídez-Ramos and de Almeida, 2017).
An intervention programme that was conducted
for patients suffering from chronic pain in the lower
back, an intervention programme for 3 months was
conducted (Park, Yu and Kim, 2017)).
