Executive Summary
I am recently hired as food nutritionist in a Health Promotion division of a community health
care in a regional city of Australia. In recent years, it has been observed that children and
adolescents of Australia have switched to vegetarian diets which is resulting into various chronic
disorders and affecting the health of children and adolescent population. Therefore, I am working
on a project which highlights the potential deficiency of one nutrient of targeted population of
children and adolescents, topical nutritional issues, evaluation of aetiology, prevention and
treatment and the communication of complex problems in among the children and adolescents of
Australia.

Introduction
I am recently hired as a Nutritionist in the Health Promotion Division of a community health care
in a regional city of Australia. In recent 5-10 years, observed an increase in the vegetarian diets
among children and adolescents. Therefore, the health promotion division is concerned regarding
the delay in growth and deficiency of nutrition in children and adolescents. Therefore, this report
includes the potential deficiency of one nutrient of the targeted population of children and
adolescents, topical nutritional issues, evaluation of aetiology, prevention and treatment and the
communication of complex problems among the children and adolescents of Australia.
The scope of public health nutrition is multifaceted. In Australia, offspring innate to aboriginal
females in 2002 weighed on regular 2.13 kilograms fewer than offspring born to non-aboriginal
females, and were more than twice as likely to be defined as “low birth-weight”. During puberty,
physical supplies for iron and zinc highest at the period of adolescence development emission,
which in teenagers generally happens between 10 and 15 years. Therefore, the youths especially
females need more quantity of zinc and iron. Inappropriately, numerous youths nosedive to
encounter these extraordinary bodily necessities for iron and zinc throughout adolescence (1).
In Australia, there are five types of categorized vegetarian diet which includes (2):
Protein
Calcium
Iron
Vitamins
Other nutrients
