Introduction: The primary objective of emerging bio-metric technology was to authenticate the identityof an individual by scanning finger print or identifying the DNA sequence by using the bloodcells. As a result, the rate of duplicate identity and fraud cases were highly reduced initially.After that this particular technology had faced innumerable challenges in maintaining securitydue to the increased level of dummy fingers along with copied finger print. However, in order toovercome this kind of issue the bio-metric company has introduced new strategy and policy forrendering an innovation within the biometric technology. Large number of companies intends touse a wearable wrist band that can authenticate the heartbeat of an individual. This kind ofinnovative technology has reduced the rate of risk factors. This specific study has focused tomake an in-depth overview about the impact of bio-metric technology in maintaining the securityof business organization. 2. Project overview: It has been observed in last ten years that large number of business organizations fail tomaintain their performance level due to the late entry and early departure of employees. At thesame time, innumerable fraud cases used to occur at the workplace of business organizations.One individual intended to send log in report on behalf of others. As a result, the businessmanagers failed to keep a proper track on the overall performance level of every individualcategorically (Unar, Seng & Abbasi, 2014). In order to overcome this kind of situation, businessorganizations have decided to render biometric technology within business process with the helpof which the identification of an individual can be authenticated properly. At thesame time, it is also undeniable that this particular technology is possessed with major negativeimpact as well. This specific study has provided an in-depth overview about the positive andnegative impact biometric technology in maintaining the security of business organizations.Different eminent scholars have provided their own opinion regarding impact of biometrictechnology in enhancing organizational security (Morosan, 2012). The author has provided bothpositive and negative impact of bio metric technology on the entire business organization and itssecurity. 3. Overview of the problem: It is undeniable that biometric technology leave major positive impact in differentsectors. This specific technology is not only applicable for identifying the authenticity of anindividual. Electronic devices of now a day has become dependent on finger prints. In order toopen a particular mobile device the users need to give a proper finger print so that the excessiverate of mobile hacking can be reduced (Gelb & Decker, 2012). Password can be hacked at anytime. As a result, the electronic device users may have to face innumerable difficulties inmaintaining the privacy of data. However, in order to overcome this kind of situation the conceptof biometric technology has been launched within the process of business. However, this specificresearch has focused to make an in-depth overview about the necessary positive and negativeimpact of biometric technology. It is undeniable that after the emergence of biometric thesecurity system has been improved. The business managers do not have to maintain any manualdata base. The entire authentication of identity is automatically stored and secured within thedevice (Ngugi & Kamis, 2013). As a result, an effective and chronological data can bemaintained.
