OBJECTIVES OF DIVERSITYTo find out about Australian administrators’ attitude and understanding concerning workplace diversity management (WDM) and the practices as well as incorporations of WDM in organisations. DATA ANALYSISToday both the world and people workplace have become immensely diverse. Global studies have proven that a diverse place of work combine workers from different backgrounds and experiences drives significant business advantages both tangible and intangible. International statistics show that when places of work are highly diversified and inclusive, it leads to greater innovation levels, higher creativity as well as enhanced team involvement. As a result, it results I reduced turnover rates, higher revenues, and improved workplace performance. Thus, with the shift in focus on workplace diversity as well as, inclusion, rising over the past few years, most employers are making steps towards employing as well as supporting a highly diversified workplace.RESULTSReports indicate that a majority of Australian, corporations are still struggling to manage and enhance diversity in the most effective way. According to 2013 survey carried out by Korn/Ferry and Diversity Council Australia, it shows that approximately 40 percent of companies in Australia were only at the preliminaries stage of their diversity programsINTRODUCTIONWorkplace diversity comprises a range of differences between individuals with an organization.Diversity in the place of work means the mutual acceptance and value placed on the dissimilarities amongst individuals with regard to class, race, age, ethnicity, physical and mental capacity, spiritual practice, gender, and sexual orientation. Therefore, diversity is the ability to accept and respect one another.Also, the report indicates that most company leadership management was lacking the commitment to full-time diversity experience. Consequently, over 60 percent of the senior-most managers had limited to no foundation in workplace diversity.FINDINGSThe target of workplace diversity is to avert employment-related issues in all organization in Australia based on race, ethnicity, and gender.
