OCCUPATION HEALTH AND SAFETY
Question 2:
Risk assessment is the terminology that focuses on the causes of the hazard and also
identification of hazard, the risk factors of the hazards, measure the effects of the hazard and
planning of the evaluation and reduction of the risks regarding the hazards (Fox et al., 2018).
The risk assessment is a process which focuses on the evaluation of the safety and quality
of the workplace for the employee safety. Thus, the assessment is dependent on the planning and
developing the direction of the assessment. Hence, the development of the team which can
advocate, collaborate and identify most impacting factors of the workplace. The risk assessment
team also focus on the effective identification of the negative impacts over the health of the
employees (Kim, 2016). Thus, ensuring the controlling measures and reduction of the risks in the
workplace for the effective management of the safety of the employees are the primary focus of
the risk assessment team. The team also focus on the development of the policy and identify the
associated factors of the hazard. Hence, it can be stated that the hazard identification and
reduction of the possibility of the hazard for the employee safety is the responsibility of the risk
assessment team. Based on this factor it can be stated that the process of the risk assessment
should be considered with the effectiveness of the reduction and improvement of the quality of
work for the employees (Arbaiy et al., 2018). Moreover, it can be found that the process of the
risk assessment is focused on the improvement of the employee situations in the workplace.
