INTRODUCTIONThis presentation intends to shed light on my past experience of work as a painter in a warehouse.This presentation will also take into consideration the effect that the environment had on my performance level.This presentation will use the occupational therapy practice framework for the analysis of the effect that the environment had on my performance.

PAINTING AS MY OCCUPATIONPainting can be defined as the “practice of applying paint, pigment, color or other medium to a solid surface (support base)”.In the present day world the genre has much evolved and applied not only to the painting of portraits but includes the painting of doors, windows, building and other related aspects as well.I used to work as a painter in a warehouse.I needed to follow certain steps in order to paint the doors.The doors painted by me were subjected to a closer inspection by our supervisor and then only they were approved.

PAINTING AS MY OCCUPATION (CONTINUED......)The doors that I used to paint were made of wood and metal and I was required to paint them with traditional brushes.I would like to add here I needed a considerable amount of space for the purpose of painting as I needed to paint the entire door properly and at the same time ensure that every portion of the door was coated with paint.A proper interaction with the other colleagues was essential as that enabled me to perform in a much better manner.The job also required me to have effective visual perception as well as muscle co-ordination. The ability to stand for long hours and also to bend was essential for the job.The body movements included Joint mobility, two hands, two feet, eyes.
