Chapter 1: Introduction
The small business enterprise plays a vital role in enhancing the economic growth as it
supports equal opportunity for all individuals along with enhancing overall productivity level.
The small business organisation selected for current study is Offshore Yard which is a local
company located in the Maldives that is having an established local reputation for its exclusive
designing and construction quality (Daniel, Lee and Spieth, 2021). The Offshore Yard company
is engaged in been designing and building hand crafted luxury timber and fiberglass boats
ranging from 5 – 40 meters since 2010.
Chapter 2: Business plan and action plan for change
2.1. Business Plan
A Business plan is basically a written document that plays a crucial role in describing and
providing information about the core business activities of a firm along with including its
objectives and plans to achieve these set objectives and goals (Gavalas, Syriopoulos and
Tsatsaronis, 2021). A brief business plan for Offshore boatyard has been provided as below:
Brief Background of organisation
Offshore Yard is a private limited company which is operating as a local boat designing
and boat building company that is being managed and operated by the Ibrahim Moosa-suja and
Aslam Ibrahim (Offshore, 2021). The major services and activities of the Offshore Yard
company comprises of designing and building yacht along with interior designing, 3D modelling
and rendering and consultancy services also. The current business plan is among at improvising
its overall expertise and quality level along with enhancing higher motivation in employees for
timely delivery of the product and services to ensure improved business performance and higher
reputation in the target market.
Mission
The mission of the Offshore Yacht is, “To effectively imagine and properly plan, to build
exclusive boats that are having a perfect equilibrium between design and technique along with
setting balance between quality and style to fulfil the dreams and expectation level of clients”.
