2 RENOVATION OF THE OIL STORAGE Introduction Western Australia is one of the largest oil manufacturing and distribution company in Australia. It has been seen that the storage capacity is lacking for 30% of unleaded petrol. This is happening as the condition of the oil storage tanks are degrading with the time (Sara et al.,2017). The mainaim of the company is to improve the infrastructure of the storage capacity of the company. In order to so this proper project management plan and the evaluation of the project management plan is needed to be implemented as the organization is operating for 50 years and the whole processing system is complex with the outdated design. Discussion Implementation plan The man objective is to renovate the existing oil storage system in the Western Australia. In order to do thisthe health and the safety along with the personal issues are needed to be concerned during the development and the implementation of the project. Apart from that the supply and the distribution of the oil should be not be irrupted during the implementation of the project. The implementation plan needs the gathering of the requirementand the planning for the implementation of the execution. The requirements for this project are cleaning and repaint of the outside wall of the tank 1, tank 2. For tank 3celnaing and repaint is required along with the replacement of the main supply valve. There are certain challenges involved with this project (Bunea et al.,2016). These challenges are needed to be addressed while the planning of the project. The shape of the site is triangle. In each of the two sides of the triangle sites is occupied
3 RENOVATION OF THE OIL STORAGE and one side has dead end road. While filling the tanks with the oil all the works are needed to be stopped as the oil is high flammable. Management plan The management of the project is needed to be done in a certain way the shape of the site will not permit any activity during the filling of the oil tank (Ramírez-Villegas, Eriksson & Olofsson, 2016). According to the requirement the cleaning and repaint is needed to be done for the tank 1 and tank 2. For tank 3 the repaint and the cleaning are needed to be done along with the replacement of the main supply valve. The management plan is needed to be considered in three aspects- Time:The main challenge included in this project is the time. The repaint and the cleaning of the tank is needed to be done without the interruption in the supply of the oil. It has been seen that three thanks take different hours to fill up. The repaint of the tank 1 can be done in 1 day as it takes only 4 to 6 hours to be filled and that day tank 2 and tank 3 can be kept active. In day 2 tank 2 can be cleaned and repaint in and that day tank 3 and tank 1 can be kept active. The paintingand the replacement of the main supply valve of the tank 3 I will take time. The renovation of the tank 3 can take time up to 7 days. In those 7 days tank 1 and tank 2 can be kept active. In this way the time management can be done for the compilation of the project along with continuous supply of the oil. Cost:The compilation of the project is needed to be done in a cost effective way. A certain amount of the budget is estimated for the compilation of the whole project (Shabatura et al.,2016).The estimated cost includes the cost of the paint and the charge for clearing three thanks (Wang et al.,2018). Apart from that the cost of the equipments needed for the cleaning of

4 RENOVATION OF THE OIL STORAGE the tanks and the other tools like large crane , small crane and scaffoldingare also included in the estimated cost. Resource:The resources needed to complete the project are human resources , time and the cost along with the technical resources. The labor and the technicians are the human resources who are responsible for the cleaning, repaint and changing of the main supply valve of the tank. Time and cost are the other resources needed to deliver the outcome of the project. Quality:The quality while repairing the tank is needed to be maintained in proper way. The condition of the tanks are of poor quality as these tanks are used by the company for long time. Currently the organization is paying large amount of money for the leakage of the oil (Bunea et al.,2016). In this case, the quality of the repair will serve the organization positively by mitigation of the overhead cost. In order to repair the tank the quality of the paint and the equipments for used in the new valve for the main supply will be maintained. Evaluation of the performance of the project: The evaluation of the project includes the evaluation of the performance of the project for reaching the objective of the project. In order to evaluate the performance of the project, certain tools and techniques are needed to be used (Howell et al.,2015). In this case, the discussion between theproject team members and the management of the Western Australia can be conducted. Apart from that the monitoring of the performance of the tanks after the repairing and the comparison of the results before and after the renovation can be carried out. Closing of the project: The closing of the project can be declared after the mentioned steps are carried out in a proper way. The main objective of the organization is to mitigate the overhead cost by
5 RENOVATION OF THE OIL STORAGE renovation of the three new tanksfor the storage of the oil (Wang et al.,2016). The monitoring of the performance of the repaired oil tanks are needed to be evaluated to see if they are serving the purpose of the objective of the organization. In case, if the renovation is successful , it can be said that the project has been implemented successfully and the project can be closed. Conclusion The discussion is about the implementation of the renovation programs of the oil storage tanks of Western Australia. The project consists of the certain steps which are required for the development of the project. Different management planning has been discussed with respect to the time, cost , resources and quality. It can be said the projectregarding the renovation can be done in timely orderand will deliver the proper outcome if necessary costs and time are assigned for the different work in a proper way.
