2PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Introduction
The following report reflects on a large multinational oil company which comes up with
various kind of storage facilities (Badewi 2016). This particular tank is located in Australia. The
organization is involved in ownership and operating the tank in each of firm so that they can
easily supply the domestic market with required automotive fuels. PMO (Project management
office) is based in Melbourne which helps in analyzing the priority of project. It is all about
understanding scope and goal for the given project. Various condition which is needed for
engaging contracts is totally involved in the completing the given work (Conforto et al., 2014).
The revenue division of the organization comes up with a proper business case which is required
for carrying substantial repair works. The whole thing should be carried so that environmental
fines can be reduced and optimizing availability by understanding the location. At present 30%
of the organization unleaded petroleum capacity in Western Australia is on the verge of collapse
(Binder 2016). This particular situation has come in action due to aging condition of the tank and
related infrastructure to it. The situation of largest tank in Western Australia has taken place as
tank is 50 years old and the design is complex and outdated in nature.
In the coming pages of the report, an idea has been provided regarding oil tank
renovation project. After that implementation plan for the given project has been provided in
details. The management plan for this particular project has been provided. A brief idea has been
provided regarding the evaluation plan of the project. The last section of the report mainly deals
with closure phase of the project.

Implementation plan
The activities of project are totally based on construction work for the various activities
and repair work. The whole scenario can be understanding by the help of some proper and
achievable goals (Fleming and Koppelman 2016). The project of tank is mainly responsible for
understanding the planning, organizing and execution of various activities. It is mainly done so
that the given project can easily achieve some quality standard in the given project. The situation
needs to be analyzed for checking the proper standard which needs to be met. Implementation
plan for the given project needs to be met for understanding various repairs in oil tanks. It is
inclusive of certain number of activities like storage capacity, supply improvement, dealing with
activities, fulfillment of tanks and report on competing the given activities.
A table has been provided regarding the implementation plan regarding the various
activities of Oil tank renovation:
Storage capacity of tank: In the beginning phase of the project the renovation process is
inclusive of improving the storage capacity of various activities. It aims in defining the
successful completion of the plan of this tank project (Heagney 2016). Storage capacity is
considered to be as one of the important factors for ensuring the successful competition of the
project according the requirement of the client. The current capabilities of the given storage tank
are not enough for the execution for carrying out the various activities of the given project that is
an oil company. Tank storage can be implied by the help of increasing the overall volume of the
tank. The overall management of the project can be achieved with the help of increasing the
storage quantity. Various tankers can be benefitted for holding oils in all of their centers. It will
be much helpful for providing various large number of benefits and forming proper management
which is needed for carrying out various operation.
