INTRODUCTION
Leading and managing people is a crucial concept which explains that how any of the
organisation is required to manage the employees who are working with the business
organisation. It is necessary that work of managing the employees in the organisation directly
helps the business organisation to perform their work as per the requirement. The current report
is based Old bridge District Council where Lisa is conducting the survey for the purpose of
improving the performance of an organisation. On the basis of conducted survey, different
questions will be answered related to most important finding where more focus should be given
that what are the major importance. Even three different initiatives will be developed on the basis
of findings. At the end, justification will be provided which will include about the better form of
communication to make things understand.

In present scenario, it is necessary for any of the organisation to conduct different types
of survey so that they can give them the opportunity to improve their performance. It simply
gives them the idea that how any of the work is required to be done. It is one of the way through
which chances of reducing weaknesses and errors increases which is one of the positive sign for
the business organisation (Kehoe and Wright, 2013). Talking about the Lisa in Old Bridge
Council where she had conducted the survey for the purpose of improving the performance of
the organisation. Whenever any of the survey is being conducted within the premisses of a
company, it is necessary to understand that response from the employees play the crucial role to
provide suitable answer. As survey has been conducted for number of area but among them the
most effective one for Lisa to complete the survey is:
Equality and diversity Practices: Whenever any of the business is being commenced, it
is necessary for them to focus that they must give fair and equal opportunity. Giving equal
opportunities to each and every member allows the business organisation to perform better at any
period of time. For Lisa she must be concern about the equality and diversity at workplace
because that is one of the way which can allow the company to maintain the better form of

working environment through which goals can be accomplished easily. In addition, it allows the
the management to maintain the decorum through which any of the work can be conducted in the
best possible manner. There are number of benefits of equality and diversity at a workplace as it
the way through which respect among the employees can be maintained. As per the conducted
survey, 88% of employees are satisfied with the council for the equality and diversity at a
workplace.
Training and development opportunities: Whenever any of the candidate is hired in
the premisses of a office, it becomes important that they must be provided with suitable training
and development program. It simply gives the idea that how any of the employees is required to
work while working within the premisses of a company. If in a company proper training is not
provided to the employees they will get difficulties to work due to which they will not be able to
perform their work as per the requirement (Gruman and Saks, 2011). In context of Lisa, she
should be concern about providing the training and development work to their employees if they
want to perform better in future course of time. It will direct improve the outcomes which will
help the company to accomplish their target. As per the survey, only 33% of the people are
satisfied with the training and development program which is being provided by Old-bridge
District Council.
Job Security:The main of any employee is that they must be given surety about the work
which they are performing. If in any of the situation if they doesn't fell safe while working with
the premisses of company then it becomes difficult task for them to survive for the longer period
of time. As per the survey conducted among the employees, Lisa found that only 36% of
employees are satisfied with the job security which means lots of work is required to be done in
this field. Providing job security helps the business organisation to enhance their performance
which directly helps in accomplishing the goals of an organisation.
Level of Responsibility: It is needed to understand that in any of the organisation,
employee will be able to perform the work in that particular situation where they will be handed
the responsibility. It will allow them to take decision regarding the business organisation through
which positive result can be obtained (CHUANG and Liao, 2010). In context of the survey
which has been conducted by Lisa, it shows that around 70% of the people are happy with the
level of responsibility and like to perform the work in smoother manner if they are being given

responsibility within the business organisation. It is one of the crucial area where company must
concern for the purpose of improving the performance.
Promotion Opportunities: In any of the business organisation, employees can be only
sustained in the situation where they are being given the opportunities related to promotion
within the company. It is the way which makes employees motivated as they can show their
potential to perform better so that they can enhance the chances of getting promotion. It will be
necessary for Lisa to give major focus on promotion opportunities for the employees so that they
can feel motivated while working with Old-bridge District Council (Jiang and et. al, 2012).
These are some of the important aspects on which Lisa must be concern because it will
allow her to perform better and take suitable decision in context of the organisation. This finding
are more important because it will be the way through which employees will be sustained with
the company for longer period of time. As training will be provided to them so they will have the
idea that what they are required to do in any of the situation and what should not be done. If in
any of the situation changes are required to be done then will not consume additional time as
employees have sufficient training which can allow to adopt the changes as per the requirement.
Management will get the idea about the potential strength of any of the employees who is
working within the premisses of a company.
In addition, this finding will be important because it will allow the management to do
evaluation of the performance which has been shown by the employees which will directly effect
on the positive outcomes. Also, guidance can be given to them that how they are required to
perform in any of the situation which is one of the most beneficial outcome. If company will be
able to ensure their employees that their job is secured then it that particular situation they will
give more opportunity to themselves to perform extraordinary in the favour of the council. While
preparing the report, working environment will also improve automatically if they give focus on
providing the working environment full of equality and diversity. This are some of the points
which will allow to manage the people who are connected with the organisation.

As per the conducted survey, five different points where selected in the company so that
better outcomes can be achieved (Huselid and Becker, 2011). But, selecting the appropriate
points is only the solution which is required by the company to be selected by different initiatives

should be taken for positive results. Below, there are different initiatives has been mentioned
which can be taken by Lisa to improve the more concerning about the findings: Team work: It is one of the initiatives which can be taken by any of the organisation if
they want to improve the performance of company as well as of employees. It gives them
idea to be innovative in their work through which chances of obtaining positive result
increases automatically. Whenever any of the company gives any of the work on the
basis of team, then it allows the business organisation to develop the concept of level of
responsibility for the employees which directly helps to accomplish the goals. Here,
opportunity related to equality and diversity will also increase which will have the direct
impact on employees to perform better in any of the situation (Renwick, Redman and
Maguire, 2013). In addition, it is one of the way which can easily allow the business
organisation to enhance the performance of each and every individual which will allow to
achieve better result. On the job and off the job training: For the purpose improving the level of training and
development program, it will be crucial for the business organisation to understand that
they are needed to provide training to their employees if performance is required to be
improved. Talking about giving the training through the process of on the job training,
here company is required to provide all of the specific training to their employees so that
they can perform in a specific manner. In case of off the job training, it is one of the
process where employees are being provided the training through different means so that
their performance can be improved. Notes, videos and lectures are the best possible way
through which this types of training can be given to the employees. It is one of the
initiatives which can be taken by Lisa to improve the area of finding where company is
willing to focus more (Cascio, 2015). As training will help the employees to perform
better in future period of time which will have a direct effect on securing their job. It will
be one of the way which allow the company to perform better in each and every
situation.
 Preparing the bond agreement: It is also one of the suitable way which Lisa can focus
because it will allow their employees to make believe that in each and every situation
their job is secured through which performance can be easily improved. It will be one of
the way which can easily help the employees to make sure that they will be able to

perform their work within the premisses of a company. Lisa can easily take this
initiatives which can be helpful for their business organisation.
All of the suggested initiatives can be the best one in context of accomplishing the goals
but it is also needed to understand that all of this process will be the time consuming process.
Here, proper time will be required to complete any of the work where proper procedure will be
required to followed. On this other side, it will also enhance the performance of employees and
where they will be able to work in the same organisation for longer period of time just because of
preparation of bond (Daley, 2012). In addition, team work will be the way which will enhance
the performance and the employees who are unable to perform well will also get the opportunity
to learn something new which will directly help the business to achieve the goals.
3. How should Lisa approach the task of drawing up the proposed, ‘You Said, We Listened’, e-
mail including her main objectives? Justify your answers and include a draft of the email
that Lisa should send.
“You Said, We Listen” it is the them which has been set the management where they
listen to each and every points whenever any of the business organisation faces any of the
problem. Here, management will like to take the feedback and according to that plans and
policies will be prepared through which goals will be accomplished easily. As survey was
conducted in the company where different question where asked and among them so that actual
problem can be found so that better result can be obtained in future period of time.
On the basis of conducted survey, it was found that if some of the area can be focused
then company will have the better option to enhance their performance and even goals can also
be achieved. For the purpose of improving the satisfaction level among the employees, the
management has decided that from now onwards each and every work will be conducted on the
basis of team which will not allow any of the employee to feel separated. Secondly, bond will be
singed by each and every employees so that in any of the stage employees will no feel that they
are separate from the business organisation and even their job will also be secured. It will
directly allow all of the employees to work freely (Mondy and Martocchio, 2016). And the last
point where management has given the maximum focus is providing on the job and off the job
training. It is the which gives the idea to employees that how they are required to perform in any
of the situation which will not reduce their interest towards the work. This are some of the points
on which management has given the maximum efforts and it might be the way through which the

problem which are being faced can be reduced significantly (Noe and et. al., 2017). Also,
employees might allow themselves to perform without having any of the issues.
CONCLUSION
From the above file, it can be easily concluded that any of the business is required to
perform their work in a systematic manner if they are willing to accomplish their goals. There
are number of situation where employees do not want to perform any of the business activity and
in that particular situation company has the option to conduct the survey to find the main reason
behind the occurrence of problem. Any of those problem can only be solved in the situation
where some of the initiatives can be taken which are of positive nature. Any of the business
organisation can perform in a systematic manner where they are able to find out the initiatives of
the problem which has been faced by the company.
