Introduction
It can be an overwhelming process to create your own media, distribute and monitor its impacts. It is,
therefore, crucial to plan well. My project is a musical series called One Take Session. The aim of the
project is to release episodes of music and videos on a weekly basis to encourage local artists to showcase
their talents. This project will give in detail the kind of media that One Take Session will make and
produce and further give their Production Biography. Furthermore, media form, production team,
monetization, and audience will be analyzed.
Background
Music is one of the most prominent methods not only for communication but for also entertainment of the
people. It is categorized into various genres depending on the type and the location of the music. The most
popular type of musical genius is pop, rock blues, R&B, hip-hop among others. Music is further is divided
into several subgenres called rap, electronic, classical among others (Anderson 2013, p. 1010). The music
industry has been evolving over the years and has been incorporated with music reality shows. Australian
television telecast a number of music reality shows with the aim of finding and exploring new talent from
people and give them a platform to showcase their talent especially in singing. The most popular show in the
Australian television is the voice Australia (Jenner 2017, p. 314). Others include X Factor Australia, which
is in the format of Australian idol even though it went out of production in 2009.
Concept Generalisation and Selection of the Strategic Plan
My project is unique because it is based on the social media platforms. In addition, the artist can be able
to perform their song and video content, all in a single take. The format of the show is similar to the live
music only that there is no live telecast. The added advantage is that it does not require a lot amount of
money in the beginning even though it requires technical recruitment and technicians who are required to be
paid. The project is in its early beginnings and will be done on a small scale but will gradually continue to
expand as we grow.
The project has adopted a crowdfunding policy where we promote the idea of the show `` By the people,

distribute its music through various distribution companies who will release on our behalf of the company.
Content production will go through three processes. First is the pre-production process whereby it involves
all the planning and drafting of the media product, that is planning the filming process ( Scott 2015, p. 66). The
second process is production, which will involve the actual filming process and lastly will be post-production.
Post-production is where the film will be edited and special effects, digital manipulation, sub-editing, and audio
editing techniques will be applied.
The platform will advertise itself through digital methods such as pop up adverts, official social media
environment, web banners, video on command among others. According to (Porter 2008, p. 33) other methods
such as email can also be used to engage individuals directly in the innovative below the line method, in this
case, Facebook and Twitter competition campaigns which will directly target the individuals. There are
different ways in which the platform will release the films and series and how this will be distributed to the

technologies will be used to create new content and distribute products and services to media audiences.
