Introduction The present presentation covers the meaning of online learning. It also covers the positive and negative impacts of the online learning.
Online learning Online learning refers to the methods of education in which the students gain knowledge in a fully virtual environment. It also refers to the internet based learning in which the students connect with the different backgrounds which also helps in boosting their performance and ability to learn things easily. Various educational institution use various learning management system in order to facilitate learning of the students. The major difference between online and face to face learning is that students can gain knowledge and study from anywhere. Online learning also refers to as e-learning and is typically known as distance learning. In the time of covid-19 and with the closure of the schools, with the help of online learning has helped the students to continue their learning with the various mediums.

Positives of online learning Efficiency: Online learning offers teachers effective way to deliver the lessons to the students. It also provide various toolswhich includes PDF’sand videos through which teachers can easily provide notes to the students. Accessibility of time and place: It is one of the major aspect of online learning is that it allows the students to attend their classes from any location. It has allowed the schools with extensive network of the students due to various geographical restrictions. Affordability: It involves less costsand is affordable as compared to the physical learning. It is helpful as it reduces various cost such as transportation costs, students meals etc. Different ways of learning styles: Every student has their own learning styles and online learning provides the students with different tools and resources which helps in enhancing their learning as per their capability.
Negatives of online learning Technology issues: It is right to say that it provides various benefits but on the other hand various technological challenges is faced during online learning is the internet connectivity .Inconsistent network creates hindrance in the learning of the students. Requires self discipline: Due to various issues such as in the internet creativity or the style of teaching if the students feel that they are not getting proper guidance , then they cannot fully concentrate in the learning process. Creates a sense of isolation:Every students have their different styles of learning and many of the students have the ability to work independently while some of them are comfortable in the campus environment . The new platform of online learning have tried to solve this issue but it can take time and depend upon the capability of the students to adopt the changes.
Conclusion From the above presentation it can be concluded that with the changes in various factors the scope of online learning is also increasing rapidly. Technology has played a very major role in enhancing the role of online learning. It also helped in providing quality education to the students and they can gain knowledge sitting in various locations.
