INTRODUCTION
Project management is process undertaken by manager through planning, organising,
coordinating and controlling activities so that end objective of project can be achieved in
effective manner. With impact of covid-19, the overall learning and teaching method has been
his report has discussed about the project that the University of Wales Trinity Saint David
London campus is planning to switched from face 2 face to offer online delivery of lectures to
the student. So, it has included project objective, parameters, expected quality, cost, time and
budget assumption, role of stakeholders and control mechanism.
Project scope
The scope of project of online teaching method due to impact of covid-19 is wide as
through this university will able to provided education to range of student in most effective
manner. Such as:
Project objective
The main objective of the project is to provide teaching and learning to number of student
through online platform in context of covid-19 pandemic.
To enhance the learning experience of student by offering them platform to join online
class and come to face to face meeting so that the university can grow and expand its
business (Dhawan, 2020).
Parameters: Quality education, encourage contact between students and faculty, learner-
centeredness and collaborative learning are important parameter of the online project so
that learning can be provided to student as per their actual capabilities and skills.
Constructive feedback and provide a balance of challenge and support are also parameter
of the online project that will be ensured through taking feedback from student whether
they are able to understand what has been teach (Dhawan, 2020). Furthermore,
appropriate support will be provided to student so that they can learn and improve their
knowledge for fruitful outcome.
Expected quality: Through the online project, the expected quality is that University is
able to provide qualitative education to all the student that are living in different parts of
the world at minimum disruption. They can easily join online class, lecturer and learn
new things while staying safe and secure at their home. Furthermore, it is expected that

project make use of strong internet connection and well design technology to connect
with the student in order to enhance their overall learning, skilled, knowledge and
capabilities for bright future ahead.
Cost: It is estimated that in order to implement and start the project of online course with
impact of covid-19 to teach student around 15000 will be required. As expenses need to
be made related to installation of better technology, internet connection bills and lecturer
that have knowledge pertaining to teaching through online sources rather than face to
face (Fauzi and Khusuma, 2020).
Time: For completing the project pertaining to online class, it is estimated that around 25
days will be required to install all the equipment, technology and others resources for
achievement of project goals.
Benefits of the project
There are number of benefits that “ the University of Wales Trinity Saint David” London
campus will be getting through switching from face to face to online delivery of lecturer to the
student. Such as:
It will helps in increasing overall number of student in the university as most of parents
wants to provide or continue the education of student event in scenario of covid. So it has
provided opportunity to college to deliver services to student that wants to learn and
complete their degree even in such circumstances. At the same time new student can also
join the batch as company is providing its services through online platform that can be
easily access by any individuals.
It will contribute in increasing profitability and brand image of firm in mind and hearts of
customers or student and their parents. As University by changing its method of teaching
as per the current circumstances can easily stay ahead from other competitors (Allo,
2020). Therefore, it helps in creating a image in mind of people that University is highly
focused in providing qualitative education to the student for their overall development.

There are certain assumptions related to budget of the project has been made through identifying
the cost or expense that will be incurred at any cost. Such as:

So, overall these are the major expense that will be made to implement and start the project of
online class to teach student and enhance profitability of the university.
Assumptions
The project that Wales Trinity Saint David” London campus have certain assumptions
such as the budget set for the project is estimated cost that has to be incurred, so it is the
total amount of actual cost that has to be incurred in order to complete the project in
desired manner.
Secondly, it is assumed that appropriate and sufficient resources will be arranged to
implement the project as desired. Such as human or staff member, equipment and digital
technology to connect with student, teach them lesson for enhancing their overall skills
and capabilities (Verawardina and et.al., 2020).
Healthy environment and effective coordination between the team members will be
maintained so that each of them are highly motivated and influenced to make optimum
use of their skills and capabilities for achievement of project goals. Thereby all the
employee will be highly motivated to use their skills in providing learning services to
student through virtual platform.
Constraints
Each and every project has finite and project manager need to work with their limit in
order to attain the project goals in effective manner.
There may be chances that the project may not be completed on time, as Covid-19 in
sudden pandemic situation that has adversely impacted on overall growth of economy.

So, in case there is technical or some other issue then the project will be delay for further
more days (Abe, 2020).
Cost is another constraint because price of material keep on fluctuating as per
circumstances and situations. Likewise, all the expense related to labor, material, factory,
equipment, administrative, software, contractors may fluctuate that directly impact on
overall cost of the budget.
Risk of changes in external environment such as suppliers is not able to delivered
material at time, there is poor internet connection and ineffective technology. At the same
time, there is risk of increasing competition, as with covid-19, university are switching to
online platform in order to connect and provided lecturer to the student.
Therefore, all these are major constraints that needs to be overcome by project manager
through proper planning, initialisation and controlling, coordinating for fruitful outcome.
Stakeholders and their involvement
Stakeholders are people that are interested and are influence as results of project such as
staff, student, sponsor or investors of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Manager
needs to identify their roles, power and involvement in the project to plan effective strategy to
motivate to be part of the project (Ferri, Grifoni and Guzzo, 2020). Therefore, stakeholder matrix

interest in the project such as management and investors, directors of the University of

complete right to take all decision related to project thereby they need to be managed
closely.
2. High power, low interest: There are individuals that have high power but low interest,
such as government have power to take all decision related to law, rules and regulation
that needs to be abided by the university while operating its task in effective manner.

Project manager: It is the head of the project, mainly responsible for taking all the

Technical manager: The role of technical manager is to ensure that there is proper
working of digital technology and internet connection so that the student are being teach
without any disruption. It will ensure keeping of well equipped material and technology
that could be used in the project to provide online classes to student.
Finance manager: It plays significant role in managing finance related to the project, by
undertaking activities related to arranging sufficient finance, planning areas in which it
must be utilised to get maximum benefits and many more. It will ensure the project is
being completed in minimum cost possible.
System staff: It will be responsible for checking all the system are present at accurate
position and are in working condition so they can be effectively utilised to meet the
desired goals in best possible manner.
Marketing manager: It play role of marketing or generating awareness among the
customers or student, parents that are interested to provide education to the student even
in situation of covid. So it will be responsible for promoting the new ideas in minds of
millions of people through using online platform.
Project control mechanism
Control is one of the most crucial activities that need to be undertaken by project
manager in order to ensure that the project is completed as desired. Project manager through
making use of information technology will accumulate information related to errors or mistake in
the project. Along with that, take feedback from staff member to effective understand the key
issue and find alternative method that could be used by company to grow and sustain (Lee,
2018). Therefore, the project will be controlled through continuously monitoring task that has
been performed by each and every member. The project communication strategies will be done
by taking up new range of working structure goals, for connecting working advancement and

The project planning milestones can be divided into stages, where the key process groups

are connected to further harness complete efficacy based on structured steps.
Project initiation: University aims to bring on online study platforms to further engage students
diversely, where project initiation aims to harness significant working efficacy for providing best
education platforms. This can be also analysed that project initiation will be done by setting
