2. Project overview
In this project, the team aims at developing a proposed system for managing online student
farm. It will cover hiring of required resources and allocation of required resources and
materials. However, the project will not cover marketing of the project. Also, budget and
finance will be managed by the Virtucon and Globex corp.
3. Project Description
Globex Corp is a company that has taken up the development of Online Student Farm
Management System project. Virtucon and Globex corp has had a long working relationship
and they are together working on to deliver this project. The reason for the development of
this project is to eliminate all the manual process involved in the farm management. The main
goal of the stud management system is automation so both the output of work and the
efficiency at which the staff operates increases.
MOV Statement – The system being developed would in all likelihood increase the overall
efficiency of operation, would make the operation more responsive, agile and will enhance
the quality of operation as well.

In this project, the team aims at developing a proposed system for managing online student

There are a certain level of aptitudes and qualities that are essential for an ICT Project Manager. The
project manager essentially assigns project work using their teams. An ICT project manager must
have essential business, leadership and most importantly technical skills that helps him manage both
his products as well as teams effectively. The project manager here should begin with motivating their
teams and inspiring them and also imbibing a sense of competitiveness so that they pursue that extra
mile for excellence.
ICT project manager should be skillful in managing resource conflicts. As there would
always be limitations in terms of budgetary resource, human resource and technical tools.
The best project manager would be able to decide quickly in a limited time on how to best
make use of the available resources and have it allocated the best way possible. I also learned
that an ICT project manager must be familiar with multiple platforms and development
methodologies. The Agile methodology is the most famous methodology being followed by
multiple organizations in the world today, so this is something that the project manager
should always be familiar with. However, it should not be limited to this. He should be aware
of the technical intricacies of Agile Development methodology such as what iteration is, what
is scrum, what a sprint is and how to translate changing user requirements into the agile
development methodology and still get the project done.
A business involved with an ICT project tends to be modern and dynamic. One of the crucial
traits that a project manager should possess is the ability to be predictive and have good
forecasting skills. The project manager should be flexible, have good planning skills, should
be adaptive and have greater understanding of working in time-constraint situation. This is
something that is not learned in books, and may not also be common in other disciplines
except for an ICT based project. Hence it’s important that an ICT project manager
understands these. Apart from this, a good communication skill is important for a project
manager, however, it’s more important for an ICT project manager. An ICT project has lots
of minute things and has multiple teams working on variety of different components of the
