INTRODUCTION
Operation management is a business practice which is use to plan, implement and design
various products and services This process is affiliated through several departments like HR,
finance , IT, marketing. The above company that is mentioned is Hotpoint. It is an electrical
heating organization which make products of home appliances and HQ in united kingdom. The
company is operating 1000 employees in all over the world. In the report, company need to
evaluate appropriate theories such as six sigma and lean principles(Subramanian, and
Ramanathan, 2012). It will prepare and examine the effectiveness of continuous improvement
plan by using some principles of operation management. The company make a proper product
life cycle(PLC) and analyse the use of appropriate theories, concepts and models to differentiate
large and small scale projects that had been given in above report.

Operation management is a process which is used to plan, implement and design various
activities in an organisation. Hotpoint is an electrical heating organization which is making 58
inches television in industry.
Six sigma-It is an formulation that used to alter the quality of products in the business
enterprise processes. This process measure the population of variation of data. Hotpoint is a
company that is making 58 inches television which determine needs and wants of customers.
Continuous improvement is one of most important attribute for an organisation that launch a new
product into market place. In case of Hotpoint they aimed to launch a new TV that is 58 inches
after accessing needs and wants of consumer base in that case they have to focus on improving
quality of their products and services in better way.
Their are five phases that make six sigma to solves the problem in the industry-
Define- It is the first phase that help to improve the quality of products. In this phase
Hotpoint need to examine the problems of people while purchasing 58 inch T.V. In this phase
company need to make some efforts to differentiate the customers. When Hotpoint launch its 58
inches T.V it had to develop some leadership styles while launching its product in competitive
market (Lewis and Brown, 2012).
