Operation and project management are two different aspect in respect of running a
business or firm (Burke, 2013.). Operation management considered as planning and executive
tool of smooth operation and management of an organisation. This unit is prepared to define
operational and management subject to introducing and innovating of new product in market.
Amazon is chosen organisation to elaborate the aspect of operation and management. This
report covers the subject in five ways in which introduction and overview of organisation,
aim and objectives of the products and services, significance of the aspect of process design,
tailored diagram of the proposed stages of the product and services and impact and
significance of performance objectives on the product and services are analysed in this
context.

Introduction to Amazon
Amazon.com.inc is a multinational company e-commerce and cloud computing company
based in Seattle, Washington. Amazon.com is found by Jeff Bezos on July 5, 1994. This tech
giant is the world largest internet retailer in the world as measured by the revenue and
consumer traffic on the website. Also, if we see on the basis of market capitalization and
second largest after the Alibaba – a e-commerce website. The amazon.com is starting as an
online bookstore in the small warehouse and later continued as a video downloads and
streaming (Schwalbe, 2015). After gaining profit on this little start-up Jeff Bezos they move to
more varieties like software, video games, electronic devices, furniture, food, toys etc.
amazon.com has a different website for united states, the United Kingdom, India, japan, china
and every major country where amazon is growing day by day.
Amazon surpassed Walmart as the most valuable retailer in the united states by
market capitalization. Amazon is the fourth most valuable company in the world, the
largest internet company by revenue in the world and the eighth largest employer in the
united states as well as they are growing as a largest employer in the India. Amazon also
acquired whole food markets for $13.4 billion. Amazon is now gearing up in India to play
a crucial role in developing a grocery retail sector aimed at delivering customer needs and
wants. Amazon deals in service sector but has its own product too like: -
Kindle: -the amazon kindle is a series of e-readers designed and marketed by amazon.
Amazon kindle devices allow consumers to read from online books which are available
online and they have the option to read anywhere, anytime lots of books.
Echo: - Amazon Echo is a brand of smart speakers which is controlled and monitored
by the voice of the user and it allows user to switch it on with his/her voice in the range of
100m. this speaker is registerd as a best speaker because it has a small robot called
“Alexa”.
Fire TV: - Amazon fire TV stick is a digital media player and micro console remote
developed by the amazon (Serra and Kunc, 2015). This fire stick streams digital audio/video
content to a high definition television from home by the use of the internet network. This
player also allows users to play video games with help of the remote.

a world most consumer centric company because they made a better relationship with
consumer, in amazon people can find and discover virtually anything and order it very

They are providing business to consumer (B2C) services to the people. By giving
customer more than they want that means they are not only providing services while they
are also providing several benefits to them like offers, discount and gift vouchers which
people cannot find in the retail or supermarkets. Amazon continuously grown as a evolve
and grow e –commerce market in the world but they also have a competitors, Flipkart,
Alibaba and many more.
2. Aim and objectives of the product and services and their contribution to
organisational performance
Amazon is one of the successful e commerce business chain which is spreading its product and supply
chain in across the globe (Wysocki, 2011). It has very dynamic growth and development
opportunities. It has crossed all the three phases of its business journey. It successfully completed its
journey which was started from start-up idea. From start up to small business and then after
international e commerce business it has achieved unbelievable success. Organisation is focused on
providing quality and worth the money services to the customer. This is the main aim and objective of
organisation.
Mission statement of Amazon
As per the mission statement of it is considered that the values and morals of amazon are
focused upon customer satisfaction. Company is pursuing the above mission statement from the
beginning of its establishment. When the company was established then it had a clear mission and
ambisious such as “Earth’s biggest selection and to Earth’s most customer – centric company. At
present the organisation is operating successgul online and web services in all over the world. It has
largest customer and client chain worldwide. it includes its customer, sellers, developers and content
creators with its mission statement. It has become a worldwide organisation in respect of developing
the product and services.
Its mission statement gets modified as per the requirement and needs of customers and clients.
After including the services and the product and services as per the perspective of customers and
clients. Its basic vision and mission statement have been followed by the organisation from its
establishment.
Visions of amazon
Company introduced its growth and development strategies subject to promoting the product
and services. Its vision is depending upon analysing the customer behaviour and mind set towards
web services and e commerce. It is focused upon provided cost effective services and products to
customers. It understands the value and importyance of customers loyalty to enhance the credibility
and sustainability (Kapsali, 2011). Vision of the company is quite clear in respect of core marketing
messages and it is summarised the online values and offline communication both the perspective.
More over the organisation is able to get consumer relation with the help of providing cost effective
and quality services to the customers. Achieving customer interest and loyalty is one of the main
reason of success of amazon. Many e-commerce websites and online retail services failed to attain
consumer satisfaction and interest and they had to face the negative consequences. Other
organisations only become eligible to aware consumers and suppliers about the e-commerce and
online trading services.

Directors and owners consider that customer’s reviews and satisfaction are the only boosting
factor which are responsible for the success of the organisation. There is categorized system is follow

a systematic manner is formed by the organisation through which customers cans hare their views,

websites and online shopping stores. These factors are 1-click technology, secure payment system,
brief discussion and detail of products, estimated delivery time, images upload and smooth internet
browser.

Product development and innovation are one of the important aspect which is responsible for future
growth and development. For any organisation it is required that the organisation adopt new

management, 2014). To keep align customers with the products and services it is required to rephrase
and innovate them in order to make make more effective and efficient.
Process of design
This is the process of conducting and using qualitative approach subject to innovate and
develop the product. This is one of the essential methodology which contains vast knowledge and
experience in respect of design management and strategy. This process initial helps the
organisation to sort out the issues and conflicts which remain associated with the innovation and
