Operations and service management plays an integral role in an organisation. Operation
management is an effective administration of business practices to develop the high level of

supermarket company. it is a second largest supermarkets chain in the United Kingdom. It has a
16.0% share of supermarket sector. Sainsbury Company was founded in 1869 and in 1922 the
company becomes the biggest groceries retailer. This report will include the identification of
operation management practices in the Sainsbury. This report will highlight the impacts of
operation management practice in the organization’s efficiency. This report also include the
technology involvement in the process of supply chain management and what are the supporting
functions that are connected to the operation management practice and how they help in
organizational success.

sourcing the raw material, warehouse space, marketing a product to it being delivered to the
