INTRODUCTION
Operation management defines as the procedure that support in successful
accomplishment of several operations that get performed within the enterprise efficiently. On
other side supply chain is refers to the network of all individual, resources, activities,
organisational and technology that involve in production and sale of a commodity which remains
between the delivery of source material from the supplier to the manufacturer (Yuen and Thai,
2017). Current project is based on a time-based competition approach of supply chain
management and its effectiveness over an organisation. In addition to this it further expanded
with the implantation of this strategy over Zara which is an internation brand of fashion product
and accessories, along with its critically evaluation over the effectiveness and meeting up with
the industrial standards.

Time based competition
It identified that time based competition is used by management team of a company for
gaining competitive edge at marketplace (Hugos, M.H., 2018). It is a concept which is used by
the large number of organisation in order to reduce their time which is involved in performing
their tasks. All those organisation which effectively used their time and change themselves
according to the situation will be able to gain various advantages at the marketplace.
Definition: Time based leads to develop and establish new and fresh relationship among
consumers and suppliers which result in saving both time as well cost of the company, helps in
enhancing productivity and efficiencies within stipulated time frame (Kshetri, N., 2018). It is a
time based competition that get extended from Just In Time approach assist in each activity of an
organisation. It is a competitive strategy which is mainly focused on time as they consider it one
of the most effective method in order to attain goals and objectives. It is very essential for a firm
or organisation to modify its current methods as well as alter their decision making structure
which is used by the management team in order to produce high quality goods and services.
Origin: Time based competition was firstly launched by BCG in the year 1980. It is the
concept developed by George Stalk and Tom Haut. Basic need of this concept is to fulfil the
