INTRODUCTION
The operations management is considered as one of the major bodies of an organisation
which helps in managing key issues and challenges (Agrawal, Atasu, and Van Wassenhove,
2019). In the era of stiff competition between key companies, it is essential to focus on
operations management in order to achieve major goals and objectives. This is one of the key
role of operations management of a business to focus on analysing different ways and methods in
order to achieve effectiveness. In this report example of TESCO company is taken into
consideration which is British Multinational retail sector firm. The TESCO company was
founded in the year 1919 and it deals in grocery and other merchandise. TESCO has conducting
its business operations in different countries all across the globe and is widely known for its
products and services. The project will cover major dimensions of operations management which
are required to successfully develop effective goods and services. This project will also cover
role of operational management techniques and strategies which are helpful in gaining growth
and expansion.
