INTRODUCTION Topic: How would you characterize your own view on globalization and sustainability? In the modern world there is huge importance and trend of the globalization and this concept is linked with the key term sustainability. As per my opinion on these two terms the globalisation is the key drive for the business world to reach large customers and to serve to larger audience and gain higher profitability and productivity. The sustainability is the measure to reduce the negative impact of globalisation on the environment, community and economic conditions. As per my thought the globalisation has lead to the improvement of my virtual skills. During this academic year I was asked to work on the group project but the new reality was to work as a virtual team due to remote studying and the consequences of the Covid-19. During the Covid-19 the globalisation has been impacted badly as the commuting from one place to another was impossible. Therefore, study of globalisation and sustainability is huge support for me to gain vita support in learning about virtual team working and its challenges. The globalisation is highly supported with the technology that has also originated the concept of the virtual team working. The present report is the reflection report on organisational behaviour in the international context in which I will be focusing on virtual team, globalisation and sustainability and the whole experience I have gained. For this reflection I will be using Kolb's reflective learning cycle- . It is the four stage process in which knowledge is created through transformation of the experience. Through this cycle I will begin with my concrete experience and end with the actively experimenting with the wholesome of knowledge I have gained. Kolb's reflective cycle In order to explore my individual learning approach and also to assist myself as leader of the team in the comprehending strategies I must make sure that me and other team members should continue to refine their skills and grow as an professionals over the time in the best manner. In order to get help in process the Kolb's experimental learning concept is introduced that is useful for me in the time of critical responsibility for cultivating and maintaining a successful learning environment. The Kolb's learning cycle is the learning process of four stages that is concrete experience, reflective observation, conceptualisation and active experimentation. Thus, with the Kolb's reflective cycle I will be reflecting my own experience of working while
experiencing virtual team and on the topic regarding the globalisation and sustainability. The four stages of the reflective cycle are discussed below: Concrete experience During my academic course I have acquired an concrete experience of being flexible, adaptable and open in very situation and that demonstrated the symptomatic feature of my behaviour as of the open mindedness. During my virtual team scenario, I was highly positive and also my critical thinking skills were highly active in order to look the situation rationally. During my virtual team project in the beginning I was able to demonstrate openly about my opinions and ideas regarding the sustainability and globalisation. Also I have experienced by tendency of resolving the problems by finding the effective solutions which demonstrator my problem solvingandcriticalthinkingskillsduringthevirtualteamproject.Anotheraspectthat represented by open mindedness in ideas was my courage of trying every new experience and to express my opinions and perspectives freely through arguments and beliefs. There is huge importance of globalisation and sustainability which are letting the business environment to conduct their operations in a new manner. Virtual reality has now become part of education and learning system. As it is the first time, I was doing the virtual team project. Had a concrete experience that I think that virtual team have allowed me gain freedom of choice and privacy without any intervention. Through virtual team I got an ideal how to interact and communicateto thescreensoundswhichisinterestingbut writethesametimeitwas complicated as you were not able to sense the other person at the same moment. In the virtual teamproject it is very essential to derive clear goals directions and the priority because it is very difficult to communicate with the team members that are such a different locations and it becomes difficult to keep up all the time with a team members and order to stay focus towards the goals. Experience that it is very important to understand individual as it impacts the team members work and forward it is essential to demonstrate corporation and trust between each other. Reflective observation This is the next stage of the Kolb's model in which I have showed my feelings and emotional experience during the virtual team project. For the reflection of my experience I have utilised my feelings, ideas, options and perspectives.Also through this I have gained self awareness of my skills and strengths and also my weaknesses. Despite it was a virtual team present I tried myself then show myself with honesty during whole experience I won't change my belief and ethics that it is important to express my own opinion with the kindness and respect and also but dignity and must listen to others across the screen. During a virtual project I analysed that virtual experience is not same as a real one lots of complexities and focus and determination in order to understand each otherās opinions and perspective. Reflecting on my experience virtual team it is not as good as like thought because it comes with the benefits and consequences that stimulate the virtual reality which is highly difficult from the real life experience in team project.I have experienced one challenge during the whole virtual team project that was management of good communication between the team members for the timely evaluation of the progress in the project by each member. Thus, management of the time, space, resources, work etc. is the most challenging part of the virtual team project. During the virtual team project I was highly determined and with my effective focus I was able to deliver the project on time and also I realize that I have able to manage the good communication with others and also I was willing to demonstrate best performance. Virtual team present it is very important to have patience as it is very difficult to manage the timings as timing is limited in chances of expressing the opinions and perspective in front of others through the screen is highly difficult. I also analyze that biggest benefit of virtual team project is that people are able to maximize their output gain more productivity and invest more creativity into the project.Best part of virtual team project is that a person is not required to travel anywhere and there by maximum the optimal comfort which increases the efficiency in the work. In the same manner the globalization is the one of the aspect of the business in which business person can sell their products manufacture at one station to another through import and export activities. Also for the sustainability the technology has improvised new systems that as eased the globalization practices.
Abstract conceptualization Conceptualization is a stage of examining and analysing the whole experience and its impact on the delivery of the project. Through this stage I will be attempting to draw my conclusion of the whole experience of virtual team project by reflecting plan, knowledge, ideas which have familiar during the team project with my peers. With my efforts of critical thinking and problem solving skills I was able to manage all the conflicts and the challenges face during the virtual team project also in my behaviour I was bit confused and considerate about my management of time due to which I lead into the complicated communications with my team members during the discussion process. Due to virtual team project I was unable to understand each other instantly there were some arguments and conflicts between the team members and also I was part of that conflict that lead me to the situation of reaction and impulsive aggression. But I that point of state with my ability of good team working and communication skills I started managing the task and behaviour of other members. With my effective leadership during the virtual team project I was able to make the situation better and also force and manage to overcome the conflicts and directed others to focus towards goal of submitting the project timely. With my forward behaviour and positive thinking I was able to develop the strategies to deal with the negative behaviour of the team members and also to learn from my own mistakes. Globalisation and sustainability is a new trend in the business environment and also with the remote working at has become phenomenal. The team started with the research on globalisation and sustainability and enter with the good working as a virtual team and with all the abilities the team members continue to work their functions effectively as a virtual team. Does I was able to replicate the challenges of the virtual team project into the deep high quality and effective work relationship we have as a colleague and a team members. Active experimentation This is the stage of a cycle which is a texting stage and learners return to participate thing in the task this time the goal is applying their conclusion to the new experiences. Learning styles are adaptable and intuitive as an individual use a trial and error to guide their experience I would prefer to answer to myself. Required to stay focus come and positive towards my goals and perspectives also for the future I might require to considerate my realistic plans by focusing on my learning thereby becoming more practical in order to reach them. My whole experience of virtual team project was highly positive and one that I have learnt as being a part of team is all
about timing and patience. Team project I was able to understand the importance of virtual reality and the ability of communicating with people when they are apart from geographical distance. Ability to communicate with the people across the screen and I mus t meet then from my screen also have loved the trust among the people for the team working and to participate in a group work through the call or video conferencing. With this virtual team project I have also understand the characteristics of the globalisation and sustainability in the business environment and how the business environment future is all dependent upon the sustainability principles in order to gain competitive advantage. For the more for my future have use this experience to manage my working in the groom group projects and also how to achieve the shared goes effectively by listening to each other perspective with respect and dignity. Conclusion By mapping my experience using the Kolb's reflective cycle I have concluded that it is very important to have clear goals in order to succeed in the project. For effective learning and self awareness reflective writing is an important part of a particular experience. The virtual team project is interesting part of learning and development but also contain of challenges.
