In this assignment the three companies-
Harrold’s, BMI and the Mark and Spencer
have been compared.
The structure of the companies are also being
differentiated.

BACKGROUND OF THE HARROD’S
The Harrods is a group which provides the services like the
operation of the banks, hotels and estates.
The other services of the company include the selling and
the buying of the property and the several restaurants
which offer a wide range of delicious food.

INDIVIDUAL LEVEL
The company hires a large number of people based on the
level of operations of each activity.
The three companies generally hires sales executives,
electronics engineer for producing specialised product.
The company provides employee motivation programmes.
The employees are placed in a interview panel at the pre
hiring stage and at the associate level at the post hiring
stage.

DEPARTMENTAL LEVEL
The company operates at an international level.
The company is designed in a framework of multinational
trade having specialisation in multi oriented services .
Teamwork is considered to be the backbone of all the
activities.
All the departments coordinate all the activities among
themselves pri0r to commencing of any job, as all of them
are significantly related to each other.

programmes for its employees.

scheme at the time of their post joining.
