INTRODUCTION
Organisational behaviour refers to the proper analysis and identification of human
behaviour which is useful in marking effective setting for organising the changes among working
standards and individuals of business in term of managing business. For this, organisation need
to identify the prominent principles which is useful for business in terms of prominently
operating the efficiency (Batten, Lončarski and Szilagyi, 2018). To carry forward this report,
Richer Sounds is considered which is a British home entertainment retailer that tend to operate
by its chain across the 52 stores prominently in England. For this, business was owned by Julian
Richer who is the founder and managing director of company and also tends to sold 60% shares
to the employee ownership trust. Along with this, report tends to cover various factors that tends
to impact the culture, politics and power on the grounds effective behaviour with the help of
several ways to motivate individuals and team for the effective achievement of goals. Along with
this, prominent understanding is done about the cooperation effectively with others and also
undertake various concepts and philosophies of organisational behaviour.
TASK 1
P1. Identify the effective power, politics and culture of company that leads to influence the team
and individual behaviour and performance
Culture, power and politics is useful for company and also have direct influence on the
performance of employees. In regard of this, working tendency of business is prominently relies
on various situations considering the overall performance of employees (Nwali, 2018). It also
depict the prominent efforts for the individual to work for company as it is essential considering
the various aspects and also based on several elements in terms of having significant impact over
the success and failure of company. For this, significant explanation is mentioned as under:
Culture:
It represent the effective culture of an organisation that depends on the prominent beliefs
and behaviour of employees. For this, company tends to carry its culture that is helpful to
identify the behaviour and personality of employees. In regard of Richer Sounds, the effective
culture of company is mentioned with the help of Hofstede theory: Power distance index: According to this factor, it represent the significant equality and
power that tends to undertake the viewpoint of subordinates which relies at the lower

level. In regard of this, effective power depict the prominent culture in which equality
and power both are low for the prominent authority of company. Meanwhile, the lower
level power depicts the prominent motivation regarding the structure of company and
also put emphasis on the equal distribution of authority among employees. In relation
with Richer Sounds, they leads to select low power that put positive impact on the
performance of company for the improvement of productivity. Collectivism vs. Individualism: It represent that individualism put emphasis on
accomplishing the significant objectives and image of an individual. Meanwhile,
collectivism depict the effective importance in terms of accomplishing the suitable targets
and objectives. In relation with Richer Sounds, they can undertake collectivism
considering the perspective of the overall group in terms of motivating employees. Uncertainty avoidance index: As per this culture, it represent that uncertainty occur
because of complex situation. As high uncertainty undertake low level of survival which
is for risky situation meanwhile, lower risk undertake effective survival of employees
which is quite effortless for evaluating the significant norms and standards (Kissi and et.
al., 2019). In relation with Richer Sounds, they can select low uncertainty which is useful
for employees in terms of making effective efforts for the prominent survival in the
complex situation. Masculinity vs. Femininity: As per this culture, it depict the prominent priority of the
societal culture undertaking the achievement of equality between the behaviour of
employees and company. In relation with Masculinity, it represent the prominent features
considering the effective roles in gender in terms of developing the accomplishment of
goals and objectives meanwhile, femininity depict the significant features of inequality
towards the roles of gender and the quality of life. In relation with Richer Sounds, it is
helpful in terms of undertaking the prominent laws and effective standards of the
employment. Short term vs. long term: It depicts the prominent perspective of the individuals for the
short and long term orientation for the future purpose and also tends to neglect the short
term success considering the achievement of long growth. For this, short term tends to
focus on the future considering the short orientation by focusing on the frequent result. In
