INTRODUCTIONOrganisational behaviour refers to study people as well as groups performance andactivity which are performed within company. This assiststo develop the work performance, increase job satisfaction and so on. For this report the chosencompany is A David & Co Limited which is medium size organisation of foodand beverages.The purpose of this report is to explain the organisational culture, politics andpower. Content and process theories of motivation as well as motivational techniques. Effectiveteam opposed an ineffective team and concepts as well as philosophies of organisationalbehaviour are also mentioned in this report.TASK 1P1.Organisation’s culture, politics and power influence individual and team behaviour andperformanceOrganisational culture is considered as a values, manner, assumptions and beliefswhich contribute towards the unique psychological as well as social environment of company. ADavid & Co Limited is applying Handy's cultural typology. It is introduced by Charles Handyand this is classified into four elements that are mentioned below: Power culture:This culture is refer as an individuals capability to influence anotherpeople who are related to business for effective achievement of organisational objectives. Thereare few company where the power stay in hands of some individuals as well as only they areauthorised to make decisions. A David & Co Limited can assure that power is provided to thatpeople who have strong determination skills and capability to make effective decisions. If powerare given to individuals then it get authority and make decisions of their own without consultingto anyone. This help in influencing team and individual as power can lead to achievement ofgoals and objectives. The performance of individual or a team can also be improved whilemanager has power to influence them.Task culture:It is a type of typology that impact the employees performance. Companywhere groups are formed to attain the targets or resolve issues considered the task culture. Workers generally come to office for money and never get attached to it. A David &Co Limited can use this culture to create value, focused toward individuals as well as engagedthem to meet self actualisation requirements. Also, this type of culture are implemented whileactivities like inequality occurs in company then employees focus towards their own task, do notconcern about team members. It reduce team behaviour and work between each employee. Role culture:This is the culture where workers are delegated role as well asresponsibilities as per their specialisation, qualification of education and interests. A David & CoLimited can use this culture so that duties assigned to their workers are according to qualificationand specialization in order to accomplish organisational objectives effectively. Reward power:This power is just opposite to coercive power.
