INTRODUCTIONOrganisational behaviour is considered to be an important aspect from view point of business. There is a great importance to it because it deals with the behaviour of individuals who workindependently or within groups. The present report is based on the organisational behaviour Icontext to BBC. It also discussed about themotivational theories and how it helps BBC to improve down its efficiency and effectiveness sothat company can raised its organisational growth and performance. It also discusses about thedifferent motivational techniques and communication and how it helps down the individual andgroups in conducting their work.TASK-1a) Handy's cultural typology BBC is considered to be one of the oldest company in the world in terms of broadcasting. In thepast years the employees and staff of the organisation were not satisfied with the organisationalmanagement(Sinding and et.al., 2014). There are so many complained arisen from the employeesthat the management not involved them in decision-making process.According t to Handy's cultural typology the decision making ability remain possessed in thehands of such people who don't have any skill and knowledge regarding to it. If manager madeany fault under the organisation then no action were taken against them. The teams and groupswhich are performed under the organisation there performance never appreciated because ofineffective and incapable leaders. His typology also described about the four different culturesand they are as follows:Person culture:The too much importance provide to their employees so they are doingthat things only which they like or they really want to do and also not followed down theorder of the principal and they considered themselves as superiors.Role culture:In cited organisation, the management assigned tasks to their employees butnever assign the authority to them regarding its responsibility and power andresponsibility remained possessed in the hands of incapable leaders.Power culture:The power to take decision regarding the task and its resposibilitiesremain possessed in the hands of higher authorities.1
Task culture:In BBC, the different individuals are assigned the different task by themanagement and that will be according to their capability. There are so many got employed under the cited business and that employees made an impact onother employees because they reduced the promotional chances for experienced employees.According to Smith's study it was concluded that there are certain employees whose attitude andbehaviours were not good while conducting practices and they also used down the abusedlanguages under the organisation and management of BBC did not take any step to controlledthat(Hilton, 2017). The complained which made by other employees regarding such practiceswas never heard by the authorities of cited organisation.b) Impact of culture, power and politics on behaviour of organisationThe cited organisation behaviour was greatly affected by its culture, politics and power. Inpast the culture of the BBC was not good because the management cannot considered theiremployees and also treated them very badly and did not give them any chance to provethemselves under the cited business. The management never provided a safety to their employeesregarding their workplace and the result came that the employees and their working will be badlyaffected by the management and it also makes them dissatisfied(Wong, Mahmud and Omar,2015). The BBC employees never received any motivation from their leaders. Whatever theyperformed that will be sidelined and decision making ability remain in the hands of such personswho are unskilled and ineffective to take decisions. The cited organisation employees neverincluded by the management in decision making process and ever assigned any authority to takedown decisions. The labourers and staff never got any authority to take down the responsibilityregarding the task and its completion. The BBC also threatened by its competitors and it alsodoesn't follow down any rules and regulation which provided by government to him.In recent times there is a great changed comes under the behaviour of organisation. The BBCdeveloped their culture very much and also arranged healthy working conditions to theiremployees in order to protect down its work culture. It also arranged various training programsto their employees so the employees can enhanced their skills and also learned their job. Theorganisation implemented down all the rules and regulation which provided by government tohim and also assigned power to their workers regarding to complete down the task and takeresponsibilities in that regard. It also tries to maintain down good relations with theircompetitors(Radebe and Dhurup, 2016). The Handy's theory can be used by the BBC to improve2
