INTRODUCTION
Organisational behaviour is a study of the entire individual and the group and the
different task and activities that get performed within the business. It will includes the
examination of the human behaviour in which the working environment will get influenced as it
has the direct impact on the performance, communication, job structure, leadership, motivation
and so many others factors as well (Ahmad, 2018). It is even more important within the business
as it helps to build the better relationship by which the all the individual has the effectual
relationship with each other by which the social objectives will get achieved within the certain
period of time. This report is based on the Ryanair DAC that is as Irish budget airline that was
founded in 1984 and having the headquartered in Swords, Dublin and its primary operation are
based on the and London Stansted airports. This report includes the two part one will covers the
culture, Power and Politics and the Motivation of Individuals and Teams, within Ryanair and
other part covers an influences on team effectiveness and concepts and theories of organisational
behaviour within Ryanair.

individual and team behaviour and performance in the organisation
In today’s scenario the culture, politics and power is being the most important factor within
the business that has both positive and negative impact on the performance of the company. The
power is more related to the ability of the business as by which the higher authority will get
manages the working behaviour of the business by accessing the adequate direction to all the
task by which the targets and objectives will get achieved within the certain period of time thus
has its own importance within the business.
Influence of power on group and person
The positive power that get used by the manager of the business will reflect the
undertaking of them under which they have provide the adequate amount of guidance and path
by which the surround will get more motivated and with this the productivity will get enhanced
(Alleyne, 2018). It has been used to bring more confidence and motivation in the employee by
whom they have work with more zeal and comfort and get achieve their personal and
professional goals in timely manner. As with the support of positive power the employee become

more capable of doing their task with more sufficiency by which the effective outcomes will get
resulted in and have the direct impact on the decision making process of the business. The higher
authority must take the several decision that are in favour of the employee and the growth of the
business and in this the different roles and responsibility will get assigned to the employee and as
per their performance the rewards will also get presented to them (Balwant, 2018). On the other
hand somehow it has the negative impact as well due to this the employee feel more burden and
pressure to get worked on time and attain the task in timely basis and as on alter their get
punished. In context of Ryanair they have uses the positive power by which the strong
management and effective interrelationship in between the employee will get successes by which
the working ability will get developed and in that there are some different theory that get used by
the Ryanair and that are as defined below as:
Legitimate power: It is a power that is provided by the Ryanairto the individual that will
managed all the working operation with more perfection and that is basically get acquired by the
CEO of Ryanair that has managed the work with more control.
Reward Power: It is the power that gets assigned to an individual who has worked with
the objective to provide the rewards to the employee as per their performance and that is of the
form of promotion, increment, bonus etc and in Ryanair assigned this to the Board of Directors
and with their decision the team performance will get developed.
Coercive power: It is a power that will provides to those who will punished and terminate
the employee as per their working behaviour and more basically in Ryanair it will provided to
the manager as they have manage the working criteria of all the employee and try to take out best
out of them.
Expert power: It includes the power that will get assigned to those that has the brief
knowledge and better experience in some particular skills (Barbaranelli, 2019). As in Ryanair
they have provide this power to the manager that are the specialist in adequate field and with
support of this take the decision to attain the best outcomes from different task.
Referent power: It will include the power in which an individual will influence the
working nature of the other employee and Ryanair will provide to the leader as they are more
loyal towards the company and resolve the complexities from the business with more easiness
and comfort.
