INTRODUCTION
Organizational behaviour (OB) is used to analyze the individual and group performance
in a firm. Further, it also assist to determine the human behavior to work in a set environment
that creates direct impact upon job (Dinka, 2018). In the same way, current study will help to
shed a light upon OB and its concept. For that the chosen firm is Ryanair DAC which is operated
under aviation industry and now operating at different countries. The study will help to examine
how culture, power and politics affect the behavior of others within a firm and further by using
different theories, study will reveals how to motivate the employees in order to attain the define
goal. Lastly, report will apply different concepts and philosophies of OB at Ryanair.
PART 1
Organization’s culture, politics and power influence individual and team behaviour and
performance.
Organization's culture define the proper way of behavior within a firm. Also, the culture
consist of shared beliefs as well as values which are established by leaders and then it is
communicated through various methods that helps to shape the employees. A positive culture
leads to motivate employees so that they will attain the define aim. To support the same, Handy's
culture theory is applied that define it into four different kinds of culture as mention below:
Power Culture-
In every company, there are some people who have a power which gives them control
over others and makes them powerful among others in the company. These people are the ones
who takes the decisions for the betterment of the company, but others have to work as per
instruction provided by leader. If this culture is adapted by Ryanair than leaders should take
decision quickly but this in turn leads to cause negative impact upon business. Also, in this type
of culture, employees are generally judged by what they attain rather than their act (Hosking and
Anderson, 2018).
Role culture-

This culture defines is only based upon rules in which each and every employees knows
their roles and responsibilities. This culture is built on detailed organizational structure and
position is the main source in this, such that people are selected to perform their roles that leads a
business towards success. This type of organization are consider as a successful in stable
environment because market is steady and employees put their efforts to reach towards success.
Task Culture-
This culture forms when teams are formed in order to address the specific problems. Task
culture is completely relied upon results produced by team. This helps the company to assess
who is worthy pertaining to roles. In order to keep the team effective company make necessary
changes by analyzing internal and external environment. Generally this type of culture is used
when the market stability is stable and competitive, so that company take action to stay ahead in
competition (Baker and Parkinson, 2016). Thus, quoted firm is also used this culture whenever
new project is designed and this can be done by forming a team.
Person Culture-
This aspect of culture states that every employee see themselves superior and unique.
This type of culture is illustrated by a lose cluster and that is why, not used by any other
companies (Piatak and Holt, 2020). Also, if company use this culture then hierarchy is not
maintain and as a result, outcomes are not generated as per the demand. Hence, this culture
creates negative impact upon the organization performance.
Among all, Ryanair uses task culture and role culture because it will assist to improve the
organizational performance. Such that with the help of task culture, company complete define
aim within a specific tenure in order to sustain the brand image within market. On the other side,
with the help of role culture, different roles are assigned to all the employees which in turn assist
to accomplish the set goals.
Power: It is the ability that helps to influence other people and also refers to capacity that affect
others behavior with control of resources. Thus, with strong power company is able to assign the
task to other and make them do those that provide a sense of direction towards an organizational
