Organisational behaviour can be defined as the way by which people working in an
organisation interact with other members in a group. This is one of the most important criteria on
the basis of which an organisation aims to achieve its target in the most effective manner. It is
essential for a company to improve the efficiency of work and this can be achieved once the
organisational behaviour can be managed properly. The core idea behind adopting this concept is
to apply scientific approach to the management of workers. There are some major key elements
of organisational behaviour such as people, structure, technology, environment etc. It is required
at a work place that each and every single individual must interact with their colleagues in order
to work for a single goal. That is why, the concept of organisational behavioural must be
followed by the all major companies of Australia such as BHP Billiton Ltd. It is a multinational
mining public company deals with metals and petroleum. Its headquarter is in Melbourne,
Australia. It is one of the top most companies of Australia because they are properly following
organisational behaviour.
In order to determine behaviour at work place, it is essential to evaluate the basic attitude
of that person (Organisational behaviour: definition, characteristics and nature. 2016). In other
words, the behaviour of a person can be guided by their attitude. It has been very well said that a
person may be encountered with the positive as well as negative set of attitudes. This will overall
affect the personality of an individual. As far as the work place is concern about, it is important
for a person to come up with such mind set by which they can work in a group. People have
different attitude and thus working in a group requires people to think and behave in the similar
manner. In this way only company will be able to attain its goal most effectively. There may be
various uncertain conditions which arises in working environment of company, which have to
dealt by employees in efficient manner confidently (Wood, Zeffane and Osborn, 2016). These
are the circumstances in which the behaviour of an employee can be identified at the work place.
This can also be understood by evaluating all the theories of organisational behaviour which can
be applied on organisational setting.
Attitude is very useful for a person in every field of life. This is because attitude
determines common behaviour of a person. Attitude may be positive or negative and thus this
will affect the way a person deals with situation or his perception towards issues and problems.
Problem solving ability, stress management, planning, are some of the areas of business where
employees needs to apply their attitude and take best possible decision. If in case a person is not

having a positive approach then it will definitely affect the way of making plans for the
organisation.
There are some factors which are responsible for determining either job satisfaction or
organisational commitment (Robbins, Judge and Campbell, 2010). If employees are getting good
salary, proper working condition, equal opportunities and development of good employee
relations in workplace, good management facilities and many more then it will automatically
provide job satisfaction to the employees. It is necessary for a company to take care of their
employees because they are major asset of any organisation. In this regard, each and every single
worker must be satisfied with their jobs. Employer should be responsible towards providing good
compensation and rewards to best performing of employees. This will lead to create motivation
among workers. In order to make employees more dedicated towards their work, it is essential
for the company to provide them best working conditions. There must be equal opportunity for
all the workers in the organisation where they can show their talent and potential of work. This
will energise the work force and thus they will be able to perform in the most efficient way.
Employee relation ensures a good relationship between the employers and the worker (Kitchin,
2017). This will maintain the efficiency of employees to work effectively. Working in a safe and
healthy atmosphere is the right of an employee and thus, it will definitely help them to feel
motivated.
It is essential for each and every organisation to manage their activities in such manner
which can be ethically accepted. There are be various cultural, social and ethical concern which
must be taken into consideration by the organisation. There can be some or the other problems
that may be arises within the range of the company. This might be because of company's
carelessness towards availing proper means of conducting business activities. Organisation
sometimes do not follow all the rules and regulations upon which they are conducting their
business.
Organisational commitment can be defined as the way by which all the employees are
working together in order to achieve target of the company (Jones and Jones, 2010). It is
essential for organisation to perform all the activities appropriately. This can only be achieved
when there will be a level of coordination between the employers and the employees. In proper
establishment of organisational commitment, manager needs to make sure that employees are
performing their task with higher efficiency. For the purpose of determining the level of
