MANAGEMENT OF ORGANISATIONAL HEALTH
This assignment would follow the Gibbs’ reflective framework for reflection:
Description:
The module unit of Organizational health has been an interesting unit in this semester and
had mainly covered around eleven topics. The professors had given lectures on each of the topics
in details and had solves many of the queries that arose in the classes when the topics were
taught. However, this subject was quite broad and constituted or vast number of important points
that we had to learn and remember so that we can succeed in our future professional career.
Some of the topics that I had found interesting is topic 11 which is ensuring employee
engagement, topic 2 goal development, topic 8, marketing planning and many others. We got
immense help from the professors and were able to develop an in-depth knowledge about each of
the topic sufficiently.
Feelings:
Initially I was very excited as our professors were starting a new module and it we took it
as an opportunity to enhance our knowledge on business professional development. However, as
each of the topics proceeded I found it difficult to grasp so many concepts at the rapid rate and it
was becoming very strenuous for me. I was stressed easily and I lost my interest on the topics.
However, I understood that it could affect my future career if I do not learn about the topics in
details, as I would not be able to apply the knowledge in my practical fields. Therefore, I
motivated myself thinking of my future prospects and shared my issues with my professors.
They suggested me to participate actively on the online portals and discussion carried on the
discussion forums helped me understand the topic; apply them in real case scenarios and many
others. We also conducted group studies among ourselves and this helped me a lot. Finally, I

started feeling confident and gradually my anxiety level reduced. I also faced time management
issues, as I could not complete my home chores within time after attending full day classes in the
university. All these were giving me hard time to keep up with my university’s expectations to
be ready with the module.
Evaluation:
The good part of the learning of the module of organizational health management was
that I was able to develop huge knowledge about how to help a particular organization to not
only meet its profit but also how the employees working here can enjoy their work and perform
beyond their potential to bring more success. The best part was that this knowledge would help
me to excel in the future organization. The topics taught here would help me to not only manage
the productivity given by the employees but also to develop strategies by which organizations
can reach zenith of success, develop an organizational culture where employees feel more
engaged, develop goals that are achievable and many others. These topics would be helping me
to become one of the best businesses professional and can step up the pillars of success. The bad
part of the entire lecture was that although I was developing a through theoretical knowledge
about each of the concept, I could not relate with the real-life settings, as I could not understand
how I have to apply them when real situations arise or when to apply the different knowledge.
Therefore, I was quite concerned initially. Therefore, I poured out my concerns to the professors
and they assured me that with the passing of the semester days, I would be able to participate in
the discussion forums and I would be able to develop more skills by which I would be able to
relate them with the real life scenarios in my future placements. The discussion forums had
indeed helped me to understand application of the theories and models and made me more
knowledgeable.

MANAGEMENT OF ORGANISATIONAL HEALTH
Analysis:
After thoroughly analyzing the concept of organizational health management, I realized
that it is actually the ability of an organization to function effectively and therefore to cope
adequately, for changing appropriately as well as to grow from within. Through effectively
learning about the different topics, I have understood how I can help an organization to reach the
epitome of success. I can explain this with the help of an example. One of the topics that were
taught to us was employee engagement. This topic is one of the most important aspect of
organizational health as employees are the main drivers of the organizational success and more
the employees find themselves engaged, the more they would be able to dedicate themselves to
the organization and this would bring out more success (McGonagle et al. 2016). The three
levels of engagement had been taught in the classes. One of them is the intellectual engagement
where the employees would be thinking hard about the job so that he can do it better, affective
engagements where the employee can fill positively about the job as well as social engagement
where employees can utilize all the opportunities where they can discuss work related scopes for
improvements. Therefore, I can understand from these lectures about the different actions that I
as a leader can take up in my future organization so that I can motivate my employees in all the
three important levels (Fridrich, Jenny and Bauer 2015). Moreover, I have also gathered huge
knowledge about the position of marketing in development of organizational health. Learning
about this topic had helped me to understand about how leaning to follow the customer
preferences, applying proper marketing strategy, developing idea about their perspectives,

developing products and services that align with their preferences and others might help in
promoting the brand and ensure organizational health (Teimouri, Sarand and Hosseini 2017).
Measuring and reporting of the financial performance is another area, that is quite significant and
this would help to maintain the profit margin ensuring organizational success (Montano, Hoven
and Siegrest 2014).
Conclusion and action plan:
After reflecting on my experiences that I have gained while attending the lectures, I
realized that I become anxious when I am not able to understand particular topics and in place f
taking effective steps to develop knowledge, I feel loss of confidence. Therefore, I need to
develop self-regulation skills by which I can prevent occurrence of anxiety, stress or similar such
barriers and in place handle them effectively and keep myself calm to find out strategies to
overcome them (Pillay 2017). The next issue I faced is that I could not develop the knowledge to
understand how to apply the theories in practical and could not understand which theory to be
applied in which specific domains. Therefore, I took support of my professors and participated
in online discussion forums that helped me in clearing many of my doubts. Moreover, I believe
that I can gain more clarity during the time of my placements. Another personal skill that I need
to develop is the time management skills. I realized that I have the habit of procrastination and
cannot complete my work within time. Therefore, it is very important for me to maintain
schedules in diaries where I would be planning my tasks, allocate proper timeframe for them,
and note them down in diary. I would try to abide by the time fames so that I can complete the
work by time and none of the work remains left. Moreover, I would also keep rewards for me so
that I remain motivated to maintain time effectively.
