1. Three specific areas of legislations that apply to your work role. Detail what the legislation
is and it applies to work
There are several legislations which play important role in working of business firm.
Explanation of these are as follows :-
Employment law – An business firm have legal obligation when they employ staff
and it include several factors such as pay correct wages to staff (Thomas and et. al., 2019).
Along with this, they have to ensure worker’s compensation insurance for each and every
staff members. Most important is that company should not have to act in manner which may
seriously damage reputation of staff or cause mental distress or humiliation.
Anti-discrimination act – In Australia it is legislation to discriminate individual on the
basis of number of protected attributes which involve age, race, sex, disability, intersex
status, gender identity as well as sexual orientation within specific area of public life that
including education and employment.
Gender equality act – It is important act for an business firm to implement gender
equality in their working because discrimination on the basis of this may result in creating
negative working environment.
