ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT: WOOLWORTHS
INTRODUCTION:
Development is an important part in
an organization. The development is
the one that encourages the changes in
the management’s structure as well as
function of the organization. This will
automatically help the organization to
grow in the market and earn huge
amount of profit from it (Lewis,
Cantore and Passmore 2016).
The Woolworths is suffering from the
internal along with the external
problem in the present time as they are
unable to adopt the new environment
which is raising in the market. This
give rise to the introduction of change
in the organizational development
(Methner, Hamann and Nilsson 2015).
ISSUES AND EFFECTS:
The internal issues that the company
is facing is the poor performance of
the employees and the external issue
that the organization is facing is
challenges from the competitors. This
issues affect the organization and
increase the number of unsatisfied
customers (Holmes 2019).
The issue that the company face
usually is the employee’s poor
performance which affect the
organization. The dropping of the
regular buyers is also considered to be
the major problem that the company is
facing. Lastly, there is an increase in
the core competition in the market
which need to be address properly by
the organization (Thompson and
McLarney 2017).

SWOT ANALYSIS OF WOOLWORTHS:
Strength: Being the largest food along with grocery market in Australia the
company serves around 19 million customers in a week. The employee
enjoy their job in the organization and the company is technologically well
versed.
Weakness: There is a huge wastage of time in the operation process due to
the large scale of the company. The strategy the company is choose is based
on price. There is a cut throat strategy in the market with the competitors.
Opportunity: There is a huge opportunity for the company to grow in the
market and to earn huge amount of profit.
Threats: In the market there are many companies who deal with the same
strategy as well as business.

Planning the action as well as

CONCLUSION:
It can be conclude that in an organization employee to be an important
factor for achieving the target in the market. If importance are given to
enhance the performance of the employee it will be impossible for the
company to sustain as well as earn profit from the market. Hence,
Woolworths give importance to the employees and their development in the
process so that the organization can earn huge amount of profit from the
market.
