Reasons for people object to defining mental health problems as illnesses
People generally objectify the presence of any mental illness they are suffering from.
They tend to deny or accept any symptoms of mental illness because of the societal elements or
behavior of their near ones. This can be due to number of historic events related to metal patients
in England and Wales in 2014. People were started objectifying this issue. People always reach
to a similar conclusion for mental instability and do not support or motivate any individual
suffering from such issues (Davie, E. 2013). Based on such experiences, people generally hide
their intellectual or mental imbalances they feel. Mental illness has been portrayed as violent or
aggressive by nature which has created a negative image of victims or patients and increases the
level of stigma any form of mental illness. People are embarrassed of conducting and undergoing
any mental health examination due to responses of society, peers and family members etc.
In 2013, disturbing headline in a newspaper presented that “mental patients killed 1,200
people (Morse, 2013).” People started to showcase mental patient costumes on Halloween. These
type of headlines and actions transformed mental illness into a “Stigma”. Media was
continuously highlighting traumatized situations created by mental patients. They did not present
the patients' feelings or discomforts created by normal people for them (APA, 2013). Such news
cultivated a negative impact on people for mental patients. Some series or films started picturing
and portraying mental patients as criminals, which drawn a sense of threat of mental patients
within communities.
Steve Smith an English poet in her piece of work, described lifeless relation of man with
society (Smith, 1957). People always need attention from society and like to be surrounded with
their loved ones. This nature or attitude of people make them more sensitive towards their
relations which gradually generate a thought of non disclosure of any mental illness felt by them.
Societal model of mental health defined importance of social support and healthy engagement to
reduce problems of mental instability.
Organization for mental health services and how these difficulties can be overcome
Forward Thinking Birmingham, a body of NHS trust serving mental health services
across local area (NHS choices, 2014). This centre provide its services with involvement of
Birmingham Women's and children's trust, Simplify health and The Priory and Children's society
trusts to cater the mental illness with ease. The healthcare organization provides extensive range
of services to cater Autism, learning disability, psychosis and other related issues.

Forward Thinking Birmingham has an effective team to provide great supportive data and
assessments to test an individual's mental health or status. Its services ranges for difficulties like
insomnia, stress, fear, anxiety, irritation, indulgence into self harm activities and other problems
related to it (Forward Thinking Birmingham, 2018). The centre has provided sufficient platforms
for related to assessments and diagnostic facilities but people may find certain issues to access its
services.
Services can't reach up to the patients due to-
Lack of awareness
If an individual seeking for help cannot access the services then there may be a chance of
lack of awareness regarding healthcare settings. The patient or sufferer may be unaware of the
fact that any helping centre is there to cater him or solve his issues (Coulthard and Britton,
2015). Another problem that may hinder access to services is that, the patient do not have
sufficient knowledge or techniques to operate websites or to perform required functions.
Patient or sufferer of remote areas
Patient may have a residing location in remote area where the services can't be reached
timely. This factor may affect the provision of taking help by such help centres like Forward

Thinking Birmingham. For such conditions, FTB have a facility to conduct seminars and regular
assessments, medication in remote areas within specific period. Its partner, the children's society
also have a provision of interactive maps to easily find out the nearby services.
Lack of resources
It is a common factor that can be implied on both, the service providers or the patients.
Healthcare organizations may do not sufficient plan to manage its resources to accomplish all
treatments. It could be in terms of medication or availability of carers. Similarly, help seeker may
do not have sufficient financial support to manage the funds require for treatment.
Ways to avoid plagiarism
Plagiarism can be easily avoided by following certain rules that required good knowledge
of language. The readers must have effective reading skills and no point should be left in the
article. The article must be altered by introducing own words in the same language. Paraphrase
and rephrasing must be done by proper usage of direct or indirect speeches (Hunt, 2011).
Plagiarism can be effectively avoided by including proper usage of synonyms and avoiding any
sort of copy or paste from another sources. It will be effective to avoid repetitions of words or
sentences in the article or summary. Furthermore, any report will be free from plagiarism if it
includes sourcing from multiple sources.
