This is the way by which a project manager present or put some example of them so that the other team members can be influence by their activities respect him or her or want to be like him or her. Discussion about how project manager can use this type of power To display the certain kind of power the project manager should maintain the proper way in which theoretically a project manager should perform or maintain themselves. This is also represented with the help of proper self management and going by the books when it comes to performing any task and be recognised for it. Impact on the performance of the project team This power of a project manager certainly has a huge impact on the performance of the project team as having charisma and fame makes entire team be influenced by the project manager and follow their zone of work out the way in which they represent themselves. Trying to be ideal as the project manager raises the productivity of a team. This happens when the project manager behaves in the most theoretically ideal way possible. Likelihood of project success Rising in productivity and being the most ideal and theoretically perfect in performing a specific kind of task makes the likelihood of a project success be extremely possible.
3ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Benefits to be gained from using more than one source of influence when leading a team When a team is influenced by more than one source then the sharing of information is effective in the entire team as the team would not be confused about the way in which they have to report to the hierarchical bodies. Having more than one source of influence in leading a team would impact positively within a project team. Difference between influence and manipulation Influence is a process by which a person can make another imitate or be keen on thinking for performing any task in the similar way that they have thought or performed the specific task. On the other hand manipulation is a way of influencing a person in performing specific kinds of work only for their personal gains (Tedeschi, 2017).
