INTRODUCTION
Individual behaviour is important to identify within an organisation and it is the
responsibility of company manager is to analyse person behaviour towards achieving target goals
and objectives. Organisational behaviour refers to that learning which clearly shows the impact
on teams and group members in the firm. It will help in analysing actual behaviour of employee
towards specific work or task in proper manner. The behaviour of organisation is conducted by
business enterprise for becoming more efficiently in their work and it assumes that technological
thoughts and ideas can be implemented in management for employees (French and Holden,
2012). This report is based on Samsung Group which is multinational company that will serve
best quality products and services in the country. They produce large range of goods that include
electronic element, medical equipment, transport, telecom tools and some other. It have approx.
300,000 employees in present time period. The main motive of this project is to understand
different motivational theories which assist in accomplishing desired goals and objectives,
evaluate difference between effective and ineffective team in proper manner.
TASK 1
P1 Organisation's politics and culture determine on individuals and team behaviour
Organisation refers to that location where all the employees and managers are manage
and organise desired goals and objectives of the firm and behaviour of organisation states that
manner in which people convey and interact with other individual. This study also examine the
structure and behaviour which directly change the internal and external environment (Griffin and
Moorhead, 2011). All the organisation politics, culture, values and behaviour are effect on single
person, group performance and behaviour and it is essential for company manager is to make
them comfortable with the working environment. The politics are capable for performing better
within an organisation and also they work effectively.
Influence of culture- Culture play an important role in the firm and it directly influence
on working environment of office and employee performance. It is necessary for manager is to
maintain properly the whole working environment in the enterprise then employees will not feel
comfortable so that it enhancing the possibility of keeping the workers. Culture is important
within an organisation for analysing human behaviour towards particular work or task. These are
certain culture that are as follows:

 Power- culture is essential for providing power within an enterprise. It assist workers for
adjusting in that environment in which power in the hand of individual. Role- the culture help in taking decision for accurate role which are performed by
employees. This study will decide that which role is best suitable for the single person
and groups.
 Task- Culture will assist in providing different tasks according to the individual choice
and preferences where they are bale to perform better within an organisation.
Organisation culture refers to that fundamental and beliefs which are contributes among
company manager and employees of an enterprise (Kinicki and Kreitner, 2012). This will help in
controlling and managing business operations and transactions in better manner. The culture of
firm is totally developed by those people who are currently works there and in appropriate
manner. Organisation will shows culture in working environment, worker welfare, contentment,
attire code, customer handling etc. There are various form of individual who are come from
different locations and they have several cultures and traditions so that it is duty of company is to
maintained and makes peaceful environment for the people.
Samsung is the largest south Korean company. It was established by Lee Byung-chul in
1938 by the help of 40 employees. This group is divided into different areas which includes
textiles, insurance, securities, food processing and retail. At some time, Samsung is also known
as Three Stars which is became a international company. They will provide various types of
services such as business services, structure, hospitality, medical services and merchandising.
The culture of firm is to determines capabilities which help in implementing changes, adopt new
plans and policies and develop new strategies. Organisation cultures usually contributes to the
enterprise capability and it will enforce demand and limit to the firm.
There are several features which help in maintaining culture within an organisation and
after followed these then they easily analyse the performance and behaviour of an individual and
group members (Lazaroiu, 2015). They adopt latest techniques and technologies for increasing
growth and success and the firm will allowed to use great resources which has to be maintained
by company manager. The power and politics are directly affect the human behaviour in the
organisation and use all functions and activities which assist in achieving desired goals and
objectives in proper manner. There are various types of strategies which has been adopted by
firm is to increasing profitability and productivity in effective manner. These tactics has directly

impact on individual and team behaviour which shows bad environment on the organisation
working conditions where employees are not managed and controlled all work.
Company will distinguish between workers which is depend on culture and employee
does not accept any kind of external and internal environment. Samsung will adopt and use
different strategies and tactics which help in performing activities and functions in appropriate
manner (Lu, 2014). The owner of the firm will manage and operate function of an organisation.
In this situation, both the impact that are negative and positive are affected the growth and
development of employees within an organisation. The employee will change their behaviour for
adjusting in the flexible environment and also analyse each worker performance which they are
performed in the firm.
M1 Examine the politics, culture, power of Samsung and its influence on group and person
Samsung is the largest multinational business which provide different types of products
and services to their customers. There are various people who come for adopting their own
culture and also follow only their cultural values within an organisation. Culture will be
maintained in firm that directly affect on individual behaviour and performance of employees in
effectively. The power and politics are affect the company workers in different manner in which
they create organisation culture and they are given right data for managing all activities and
functions. If senior employee exploit their junior employee relates to work done and use that
power which help in analysing rules and regulations that will followed by workers. They will not
follow all these rules if company can not provide them comfortable environment in the firm.
D1 Evaluate the relationship between politics, culture and power
Organisation culture, power and politics play an important role in making strong
relationship of company with their employees. Samsung is the multinational brand which is
famous in all over the world (Luthans, Luthans and Luthans, 2015). The culture also states that
good behaviour of employee help in increasing growth and development of firm. It is the
responsibility of manager is to maintain relation with each other within an enterprise.
Organisation focus on only satisfy the employees who are not happy with the job. This is
difficult task for the company to fulfilling all needs and wants of employees in proper manner.
There are certain recommendation which required for implementation:
 Mainly they will concentrate on emerging market area.
 To maintain quality and standard of products in effective manner.

 Employee should develop that strategies which help in achieving desired goals and
objectives.
 An organisation will target segmented market area and also try to use different way for
doing work
TASK 2
P2 Evaluate different motivational theories
Motivation is the cause for individual's action, needs and desires. Motivations gives
direction to one's behaviours and repetition of behaviours (MacKenzie, Podsakoff and Podsakoff,
2011). Motives are always needed to growth in life, it is a desire to do thing to achieve one's
certain goal in life. Any one how wants to grow in his career needs to had a will or wish that
force him to take action toward their goal, called motivation. In an organisation motivation
works as fuel in employees or in organisation itself. A motivated employee can work harder to
achieve his objective and facilitates in attainment of firm's objective. Any organisation who want
to grow needs enough motivated employees that will work in sufficient manner. This motivation
can be in two force or types such as
Intrinsic motivation here in people look after new things and new challenges and
analyse capacity by his own. They have desires to work and seeks out new opportunity by them
only. They do not ever need any one who motivate them. People who are intricately motivated
enlist with task with their willingness to improve their skills, enhance his knowledge, increases
his capabilities.
Extrinsic motivation the outer force that enhance performance of employees in order to
attain his goal or organisational goal is extrinsic motivation (Martinko, Harvey and Dasborough,
2011). It comes with desired outcome along with attainment of results, it is a opposition of
intrinsic motivation. It can be said hare that when personnel seeks some of their benefit with
organisation goal then only it motives people. Commonly refer to rewards.
Theories of motivation
Content theory based on what motivates people to work. It focuses on factor that directly
affect one's capacity or interest on work. This content theory deals with maslow's theory,
herzberg theory, and alderfer's ERG theory. Except this theory process theory is based on how
motivation takes place. Change in population for work through technical change, selection and

many more thing that influences person to work, it helps in motivation in employee here they
consider all those factor that needed for work.
Maslow' s motivation theory:
It is also known as maslow' s hierarchy theory. Reason behind in maslow identifies all those
factors that helps in enhancing motivation in employees after it they puts in order by order that
looks like hierarchy (Miao and et. al., 2013). They starts with basic needs and ends with one's
potential.
The names of stages of hierarchy or pyramid are divide in five parts they are as physiology
needs, safety needs, social needs, self- esteem and self actuation.
 Physiological need refers to those elements that are basic need of a human, here in if
person works, they will work to get home, fulfil hunger, thirst, sleep and to get may other
livelihood things without them person's cannot survive.
 Safety need deals with all those factors in which they want to have security for health,
for his work and so on. When an worker works, he always hopes to get better and want
the solution if any trouble takes place in work hours. For this management required to
satisfy his safety needs and ensures with health security and any other things that enhance
his moral.
 Social need human being always seeks for social terms. They lives in a group of people
cause of that they wants to have relation in workplace, some times people work for good
relation and social esteem.
 Self esteem recognition is crucial thing that a human being always seeks for. Self esteem
is a person's overall evaluation of core emotional by his own. It can be considered as
one's attitude toward self (Miner, 2015). This stage is attractive as it is an influential
predictor for a particular objective.
 Self actualization in final level of maslow's theory, actualization is all about to show and
full potential of work. When a person work in organisation and adopts many task as a
result he will get to know his proper potential, that he will enhance in future and it helps
in workers motivation.
Herberg's theory
This theory consist two factors as motivator factors and hygiene factors.

 Motivator factors- These factors are indication of satisfaction. Factors includes
achievement, work challenges, organisation, responsibility and advancement and growth.
 Hygiene factors- Here in, they knowns as dissatisfies, they support in working and
facilitates efficiency they were as companies policy, working condition, interpersonal
relation, salary, status, personal life (Moore and et. al., 2012).
Alderfer's ERG theory
it depicts three groups of cure needs as
 Existence it is concern with basic working materiel requirement and includes all those
factors that were included in maslow's safety need and basic need.
 Relatedness here in, maintaining personal relationship, in other sense social and healthy
interaction with others helps in satisfies desires of status.
 Growth is inherent desire of personal development.
Vroom's theory- It is also known as expectancy theory. Here in vroom showcasing one's
performance based ability, capacity, knowledge, skills and experience. It is a process that
provides alternatives for voluntary activity and process is controls by individual.
Adam's theory- This is a equity theory that assess employee's perception and relation with work
and other employee along with employer.
Lockey's theory- This theory depicts clear objective and proper feedback motivates employees.
And also says that working on objective with appropriate path will too enhance motivation in
employees.
M2 Determine behaviour by using motivational theories, concepts and models
Every firm should know that its dependency will directly affect on employee behaviour
and Samsung will encourage their workers for doing best work to achieve goals and targets
(Osland and Turner, 2011). It is very essential for the company to retain employees for providing
different rewards and benefits. In this situation, workers can not perform their job in proper
manner. If they are highly motivated with these services then retention of employees will be
reduced and also easily accomplish goals and objectives. They should use that technology which
help in increasing growth and success of an enterprise. There are different motivational theories
which can be implemented by firm for satisfying workers by this will easily improved
performance. Samsung company use various methods for satisfying customers needs and wants

in effective manner. Various campaign which are organised by cited company for increasing
encouragement among employees.
TASK 3
P3 Effective and ineffective team in Samsung
Team refers to that groups which are come together for accomplishing specific goal and
objectives. This team will help in developing relation with each members and also assist in
achieving desired goals in proper manner (Pinder, 2014). They will perform all activity and
function for acquiring accurate result or outcome. The team can be effective and ineffective in
each manner:
Effective team- These are those teams which help in achieving organisation goals and
also help in conducting open communication with company members and they have great skill
regarding specific topic. They are follow their leaders instructions.
Ineffective teams- They are those teams who does not share all related issues and
problems which arises within an organisation. The teams are dependent on leaders and able to
take correct decision.
There are different kinds of teams in the organisation which are used for effectively performed
each task in better manner that are as follows: Functional team- These are those teams which help in managing and controlling all
organisation functions in proper manner. In this teams, there are four types of roles which
must be played that are as under:
◦ Record keeper- It is essential for the firm is to maintain all records which are help in
taking decisions for the benefit of organisation (Sinclaire, 2011). They are also save
all company related work record.
◦ Team leader- The power of taking decisions are in the hand of leaders and managers
and it is needed for team leader is to monitor all activities and functions of the firm.
◦ Progress chaser- Team are required that person who properly handle and manage all
functions and schedules for the team and also allot particular work on given time.
◦ Document controller- A team appoint that person who are responsible for
maintaining document which are required for the team.

 Problem solving team- They are those team which are perform different functions for
solving difficult issues or problems in effective manner. The main objective of this team
is to provide right solution for the particular problem to their managers, clients and
customers (van Dijke and et. al., 2012). They are always hire skilled and talented
employee who have ability and capability for solving complex problem which arises
within an organisation. This is temporary team which have various groups members so
that it will assist in solving issues or problems and also give accurate advice for removing
problems. Work group- In an organisation, employee will perform each task for achieving desired
goals and objectives in proper manner. This will help in providing benefits to the firm
and they are fully support organisation in best possible manner. Quality team- These teams are those which help in performing each task for securing
employees by various issues which arises in the firm whether it is positive or negative.
These issues are usually temporary and transverse structural in character.
 Virtual team- They are those teams who communicate with each by using online method
such as conferencing and other technologies. Team members are chosen by leaders
according to their communication skills and interaction ability in an effective manner.
In the organisation, technology is directly impact on all the teams who are adopting
various types of techniques for reducing work load and also team member use technology for
achieving desired goals and objectives.
Tuckman's team development model- it is that model which help in developing teams in effective
manner. There are four ways of model that are as follows: Forming- In this stage, team members are more interdependent on leaders counselling
and directions which they are provided. Storming- Storm only arises when decision making process is going in the groups. In this
stage all the members are establish their concern. Norming- It is that stage where role and responsibility are divided between workers and
they should accept it (Wagner III and Hollenbeck, 2014). All the decisions are taken by
groups only.
 Performing- Teams are perform each functions and activities for achieving goals and
objectives in proper manner.

After finishing these producers, entire organisation teams are able to develop a team
leader and old leader can train and monitor new team leader (Walumbwa and et. al., 2011). The
role and responsibility of government and group members acre increases and controlling power
reduces of leader.
M3 Analyse relevant team and group development theories
There are various types of team development theories which can be implemented within
an organisation. Belbin theory are required to follow by team members that are as under: Resource investigator- Leaders are identify different thoughts and ideas that can be
applied in the firm structure. Team worker- It is the duty of leader is to manage and provide correct direction to their
team member for achieving goals and targets. Coordinator- They are responsible for coordinate all activities and functions which are
happened within an organisation. Specialist- A leaders should be expert in one field where they can perform their best and
provide right path for the team members.
 Implementer- They are those person who try to applied various suitable theories and
models in best possible manner.
P4 Concept and philosophies of path goal theory of leadership style
It is effective concept for understanding the behaviour of employees in Samsung firm so
that it is analyse organisation culture, values, principles and politics for determining various
components of company (Witt and Schwesinger, 2013). The corporate and cultural values of
cited firm help in taking correct decision for making for making required changes. These are as
under: Integrity- Firm are mainly focus on developing reputation and also integrate all
functions and activities in effectively. Respect- It will states that respect towards they believe that all the people should treat as
honesty and justice. Responsibility- Leaders are take care of their employees and customers and also manage
working environment within an organisation. They help in providing proper direction. Pioneering- It is that factor which assist in developing and creating better future.

Path goal theory- This is that concept which evaluating a leadership styles or employee
behaviour which are best suitable for company workers and environment. The firm motive is to
enhancing workers motivation which help in giving power for becoming more productive and
gain maximum profit (Andersson Jackson and Russell, 2013). It is that theory which is based on
Vroom theory of motivation and it is also known as expectancy theory where employee were
work for achieving desired goals and objectives in proper manner. In this theory leader analyse
behaviour of each employee according to this they distributes all task or work among them
which is best suitable for their workers in the firm. They also provide guidance for better
performing in regular routine in proper manner. The steps are as follows:
 Determination of workers and working environment characteristic
 Choosing effective leadership style
 Motivational factors will help in focusing on different factors for getting success
Employee characteristic- In this stage, employees were able to interpret with different
types of people which are depend on its needs and wants etc.
Environment characteristic- The future coming problem of workers are main focus on
achieving desired goals and objectives in effective manner. Leaders main responsibility is to
guide their team member towards selecting right direction and direction. There are certain duties
and roles which help in evaluating and developing new strategy for increasing growth and
success.
Leadership style- There are four types of leadership styles that includes supportive,
directive, achievement and participate. All these styles are helpful for providing right leadership
process to their employees.
Application- It is states that employee are always change their behaviour according to
demand and supply of products and services (Ashkanasy and Humphrey, 2011). This is totally
depend on different situation. For studying behaviour of organisation, it is necessary for
company to reduce issues and problems which arise within an enterprise and this will creates
various issues relates to social and situational behaviour. There are several barriers which affect
employees behaviour that are as follows:
 Influence communicator before determine message for reach the receiver
 Communication obstacle are creates where person predict different meaning of similar
words.

 Improper flow of data or information from lower to upper level.
Contingency theory- In this theory, there is no best way for taking correct decision.
Leader should select particular leadership style that will help in providing right direction in
different situation (AveyPalanski and Walumbwa, 2011). There are some fundamental principles
which are effectively used in the company and it can be applied within an organisation.
M4 Evaluation of concepts and policies influence organisation in negative and positive manner
All the theories and concept which can be implemented by Samsung firm are directly
affect the performance and behaviour of employees in better manner. There are different theories
that includes path goal theory and contingency theory which are applied for doing changes and
modifications in the organisation. Leader provide right direction in path goal theory and also
give rewards and benefit for performing best for accomplishing potentials goals and objectives.
Contingency theory states that there is another option for making decision in the firm and in this
concept leaders are describes the different styles which help in giving direction to company
employees according to the suitable condition.
D2 Relevance of team development theories in OB
The team development theories are easily implemented in the Samsung firm for fulfilling
common objectives of the organisation (Motivational Theories. 2017). This theory is not applied
for reaching the vision of the company and employee leave their actual objective which can not
achieved setting mission. Organisation culture and values will play an essential role in shaping
employee behaviour within an organisation in effective manner.
CONCLUSION
As per the above report it can be concluded that organisation behaviour is totally depend
upon employee behaviour towards specific work or task. Organisation and human resource are
interlinked with each other. This will play an essential role in the company. Organisational
behaviour refers to that learning which clearly shows the impact on teams and group members in
the firm. It will help in analysing actual behaviour of employee towards specific work or task in
proper manner. This study also examine the structure and behaviour which directly change the
