Introduction
Leadership is an important construct of any organization. For any venture to be successful, it
is essential that leadership is well established. A good leader with the ability to foresee a
vision for the company can ensure its success and can be instrumental in its growth too.
There are various kinds of leaders with respect to the leadership style they adopt, however,
not all of them are set for all kinds of constructs. Vision is a complex issue and formulating it
for the benefit of the company is not easy. It requires a lot of grit, determination, thinking
and sacrifices on the part of the leader.
In this report, we will aim to understand how leadership plays an important role in the
success of an organization, and how different leadership styles are essential and how they
integrate themselves in various situations as well.
Is Vision Just a Dream?
When talking in the context of an organization, it is important to set up a plan for the future
where we can foresee what all is to be done and how it is to be done. This plan consists of
pre-planning and modifications during implementations, but the end result is what we had
actually wanted.
This is the fine line between a dream and a vision. A dream is something we perceive
unconsciously and maybe, sometimes just for fun. It does not mean anything since we never
act on it. However, a vision is such a dream where we act upon it to turn it into reality.
Turning a dream into a vision requires a lot of hard work. It is the same analogy as turning a
blueprint of a building into the actual structure. A lot of material is needed, people are
needed, a good leader is needed and so much more.
When we aim to implement a vision, strong will and determination are needed. Since there
will be many obstacles, a lot of harsh decisions will also be made for the greater good. This
