Organizational management
It’s the desire for every manager to see their organizations grow and improve as well.
Although the ever-changing environment challenges this, for success, the manager has to lead his
or her team to adapt and cope with favorable and unfavorable environment affecting the growth
and development of the organization.
As the manager of my firm, I must make the future of this organization better than the
past. I have to cope with the challenges that may come my way by using certain approaches to
address these challenges. As a manager, from the past experience, some of the challenges that we
have been facing include,
Challenged when creating an ethical organization
Challenge to foster the spirit of invention and innovation in our organization
Challenge in leveraging culture and diversity.
Strategic objectives
To be successful I am driven by setting objectives and vision of leading an organization
that considers ethics, respect for cultural difference and diversification and ensure that every
member of our organization is thinking in line of always being inventive, innovative in ways that
will help us come with solutions to situations and technicalities.
Approaches to apply
a. Creating an ethical organizational that recognizes the existence of different cultures
and diversification.
Ethics has been a major noted challenge within our organization. Ethics should make us
unique. The relationships between ethics, culture, and diversity have both positive and negative
effect on the organization. The most appropriate technique to help deal with the situation would
equip every worker with the desire to treat fellow employees in the right way. This should flow
from the managerial positions to the lowest position in the organization. It doesn’t matter which
race, age, gender or belief a worker has, and there is the need to balance all needs of our workers,
stakeholders, and customers a way of portraying a positive ethical dimension in a management
role. Since ethical values are determined by several factors, we have to create a culture in our
organizations that are not compromised and at the same not flexible to prevent unethical
misconduct. Some of the ways to cope with this challenge are the use of certain strategies. They
include;
1. The utilitarian approach
This is a strategy that will help me deal with shaping ethical decisions made within our
organizations. Considering this strategy, the best way to overcome the ethical dilemma is
considering the consequences of all actions that every stakeholder within the organization will
undertake. For the future prosperity of this organization, it is very important that every
stakeholder and every entity’s interest is considered equally during decision making. When
choosing options, considering the most ethical option that can produce the best balance of
benefits than oppress to most stakeholders or entity is what I shall consider. (Capsim, 2018)
