Ethics should make us unique. The relationships between ethics, culture, and diversity have both positive and negative effect on the organization. The most appropriate technique to help deal with the situation would equip every worker with the desire to treat fellow employees in the right way. This should flow from the managerial positions to the lowest position in the organization. It doesn’t matter which race, age, gender or belief a worker has, and there is the need to balance all needs of our workers, stakeholders, and customers a way of portraying a positive ethical dimension in a management role. Since ethical values are determined by several factors, we have to create a culture in our organizations that are not compromised and at the same not flexible to prevent unethical misconduct. Some of the ways to cope with this challenge are the use of certain strategies. They include; 1.The utilitarian approach This is a strategy that will help me deal with shaping ethical decisions made within our organizations. Considering this strategy, the best way to overcome the ethical dilemma is considering the consequences of all actions that every stakeholder within the organization will undertake. For the future prosperity of this organization, it is very important that every stakeholder and every entity’s interest is considered equally during decision making. When choosing options, considering the most ethical option that can produce the best balance of benefits than oppress to most stakeholders or entity is what I shall consider.(Capsim, 2018)
MANAGEMENT 3 2.The rights approach To cope and manage our organization for the future as a manager is very important that I ensure more respect for human dignity. Managing my leadership ethics will also make the subordinates copy the same virtues. As the manager, I should better and ensure that every worker is free to make choices, treated equally and can choose freely on how they are going to live holding the organization code of conduct constant. My management should not interfere closely with one’s belief, religion or personal way of life. This strategy will help solve issues related to unethical practices.(Capsim, 2018) In addition to that, culture has been another challenge related to ethics, which has been affecting our organization. For the better future of this organization, it’s very important that we adopt a positive organizational culture as well as a national culture that will influence positively on our productivity. To create a positive organizational culture, the following approaches and strategies will be of help: 1.Determination of the organizational values as a team. Involving all stakeholders in the review of the organizational values over time creates a strong and positive organizational culture where all stakeholders are motivated towards achieving a common goal. 2.Positive communication: creating a culture where employees, staff, and all stakeholders can communicate effectively will help solve the challenges of unsupportive relationship culture. 3.Employee feedback will help me solve a challenging case, where after a performance review; the employee could not know the areas they need to work on. With a culture of constructive and timely employee feedback, then the organization will have a prosperous future.(Schein, 2004) Lastly, it’s very important to uphold the existence of diversification. My thoughts as the manager should be diverse along with ethics and culture. The workplace diversification in the future should not only be limited to gender and ethnicity but more of age, race, gender, personality, and ethnicity. These factors when considered will help me play a successful management role for the better future of our organization.
