ESSAY
INTRODUCTION
Orientation for success generally allows individual to tell about their understanding as
well as knowledge that is related with higher education orientation. It is essential for every
person to determine its success criterion that could be considered as a success orientation in
management as well as business. It is important to carry out reflective method of learning which
could give individual for generating their career growth in various areas (Brooks and O’Shea,
2021). As effective career growth gives a benefit for learner to have an idea which is related to
certain factors that are available for individual in order to enhance their learning experience.
Orientation for success generally gives help to individual for generating experience in a specific
field which could improvise their skills for having development. This report is based on
orientation for success in higher education in point of view of individual. This report consists of
description of reflective method which carries learning of impact of COVID 19 on hospitality,
leisure as well as travel sector, determination of implementation of formative feedback for
improving summative feedback. There is explanation of cultural and behavioural expectations
which is needed by learner for studying business and management, importance of peer to peer
contribution along with team working for enhancing learning experience followed by its
conclusion.
MAIN BODY
Explanation of impacts of COVID-19 on hospitality, travel as well as leisure sector.
In order to carry out reflection practice it has been identified that due to COVID-19 it has
created a large impact on hospitality, travel as well as leisure sector which are affecting their
business practices on high basis. I identified that effects of COVID-19 has spread across global
world as well as it has also impacted on hospitality as well as travel sector. It has evaluated by
me that because of this pandemic disease it has impacted sales along with revenues of hotel
sector (Dias, Gouveia Rodrigues and Ferreira, 2021). It has created a wide impact on hotel sector
in terms of their earning. I understood that hospitality sector, travel along with tourism industry
is highly impacted due to COVID-19. I analysed that impact of COVID on these sector are
explained as follows:

It has become crucial for operational unit of hospitality sector to manage their payment
modes.
I determined that there is extended cash flow forecast that is being performed in some
number of months for performing their operations in an effective way.
Along with I examined that because of COVID-19 disease it has minimized their all
discretionary operational as well as capital expenses. As they have reconsidered their
maintenance as well as capital expenses where it is possible to save money in travel and tourism
industry.
Hotel sector could be able to assess equity as well as debt kinds of funding sources if
their needs is being assessed. Along with I evaluated that there are some of alternative lenders
that could move quickly for providing short term funding (EFRATA, RADIANTO and
EFFENDY, 2021). As it could enlarge their large impact as well as number of amounts of
interests with their fee structure.
Along with I also determined that because of safety concerns sales ratios of customers
have been reduced and economic concerns has risen which has leaded to slow down of economy.
Description of use of formative feedback for informing as well as enhancing summative
assessed working.
Universities for higher education carries most visible assessment which are generally
summative as well as tutors are using formative assessments method as well as various tools
which are prepared in an effective way for fulfilling up a good learning of individual for meeting
their requirements. Formative assessment generally defines to a method that could identify
misconceptions and learning differences. It consists of different ways effective techniques that is
required for shaping learning along with bolster learners (Porter and Byrd, 2021). Teachers are
generally implementing differentiation as well as adoption way of teaching for increasing level
of learning as well as achievement of learner. So that they could be capable to achieve higher
equity of outcomes. As major goal of formative assessment is to ensure learning for giving
ongoing feedback that could be used by teachers for improving their teaching. It generally helps
learners to identify their strengths as well as addressing issues immediately. These assessment
are generally on low stakes which states that it carries low or no point value.
Formative assessment are basically contrasted by summative assessment which are used
for evaluating learning ways as well as accomplishment of a proper as well as correct
